God gave us good opportunities to serve the Lord this month too. We celebrated the death and resurrection of our Lord in April.
I shared the gospel better personally rather than in an evangelistic event. As a church we preach the gospel through events too. We showed the movie Mary Magdalene which is the life of Jesus from her perspective. In my opinion, it is a good way to preach the gospel as it is a good evangelistic instrument. But sadly, we had few people coming to Magura and Varfuri. The people from Varfuri were really touched by what they heard. We also had guests who shared the gospel through a sermon and testimonies. Somebody invited us to come over to their place. She wanted to know more about her relationship with the Lord. Her name is Valeria. Also, a 29-year old young man, Costel, had several questions. We agreed to keep in touch, and meet together so that we could talk about the gospel.
Another opportunity came from the visit of two families. We are happy to share the gospel through relationships. We had a snack together and talked about how could someone have a relationship with the Lord. I think Mrs. Adriana is making progress in reading the Word. She seeks the truth in an honest way, but I am aware of the obstacles she might deal with. We pray that God will keep her.
I was glad to share the gospel with Alexia's kindergarten teacher, Miss Mihaela. We invited her to our place so that we could have a meal together. She seemed to be a very religious person. She was terrified of death and thought she could not do enough for God. Our discussion focused mainly on the reason of Jesus coming to earth. She was touched by what she heard. We pray that God will give her salvation.
God gave me the opportunity to preach a funeral service too. I think that was one of the best evangelistic events in Magura. Usually, it is hard to gather people there to tell them the gospel. On this occasion many people came and heard the gospel. We pray that we'll be able to see results in this village.
God used our family in an unexpected way. Two of the families who heard the gospel the previous month ended up in the hospital with their children. I visited them there and could see them opening up. Both Mrs. Monica and Claudia are close to us and they are now receptive to the gospel. We shared it with them verbally and with deeds. They were very surprised that we were the first to visit them and inquire on the condition of their children.
I had evangelistic talks with Alex, Andreea, Toma, Radu, Alexandra, Oana, LAurentiu, Remus, Ionut, Adi, Catalin and Marian. I pray that God will open their minds so that they would understand the Scriptures like the two disciples did on their way to Emmaus.
