Nothing can be expressed well enough when we attempt to put in words God's amazing grace. We try to express it in ways that we cannot comprehend! Each day is another opportunity to experience God's grace, glory, power and mercy. We need just one day of life to fully understand how our great God loves us with His eternal love. From the first hour to the last we see in various ways His glorious providence in our lives.

The month of May has been extremely hard for me, but unequally blessed. It was hard because my beloved wife was far away from me. Due to the pregnancy, she had gone to the States during the month of March. As I had a number of major events on the agenda, I had to remain and bring them to completion. So, the entire month of April we were apart from each other. This was the second time that we had to be away from each other. So we concluded that this is the most difficult thing for our family life.

Most of the days of the month of April were covered by a conference tour that started at the beginning of the month. Dr. Bruce Ware of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, my former professor of Systematic Theology, accepted my invitation to come to teach in Romania in three conferences and in a number of churches. He arrived on April 6 in Bucharest. We started with a first conference in the city of Bucharest, with the theme "Such a Great Salvation!". Dr. Ware lectured for three days on the theology of salvation at Holy Trinity Baptist Church. The attendance was very good as pastors, missionaries, students from the Seminary, University students, and church people attended. I sensed a powerful presence of God's Spirit. There was good receptivity in every session.
The first Sunday put us on a heavy schedule with preaching twice in the morning in Bucharest, then driving four hours and preaching that night in the city of Brasov.

Our church plant in Brasov was excited to have Dr. Ware preaching on the characteristics of a Biblical Church. The second conference took place in Brasov, that had ministers from Brasov, nearby cities and towns around Brasov. We had a couple of HeartCry missionaries attend this conference, a number of pastors from Brasov and the surroundings, students from Transylvania University and a numeber of brothers and sisters from different churches in Brasov. So there was large spectrum of people that were exposed to the teaching.

The topic of this second conference was "The Doctrine of the Last Things". Dr. Ware lectured on the main issues relating to eschatology. We had a good interaction with the people that attended the conference. Obviously, the topic is difficult, but Dr. Ware did a great job presenting it with good Biblical support.

Along with the conference, we organized a student meeting on campus, where students from Transylvania University were invited to attend a meeting that the Person of Jesus Christ was debated. Dr. Ware gave an excellent presentation of who Jesus Christ is and argued against the historical view that attempted to diminish or even to twist the reality about His identity.

The third conference took place in the city of Comanesti, in the Eastern side of Romania. We had a good number of pastors form various cities, towns and villages from two major areas of Romania, Moldova and Dobrogea. The topic of this third conference was "The Doctrine of the Trinity". It was an excellent presentation. Dr. Ware is a expert on this subject, having written a book on this important teaching. At the end of the conference, we preached in the church in Comanesti, then traveled up North to preach in a church in the city of Piatra Neamt. We ended this tour with a meeting in Bucharest with University Students. Dr. Ware spoke on how Jesus Christ was the only way to salvation. Much advertising was made for this event. Posters were torn down by those who were either very orthodox (institutionally speaking), or against the idea that Jesus was presented as the only way to salvation. In spite of this major opposition, we had a good number of students to respond and the message was powerful.

This conference tour was a great blessing for many. We had the support of HeartCry Missionary Society and Romanian American Mission in bringing Dr. Bruce Ware for the second time to Romania.

The end of April brought us into the wonderful celebration of Christ's Resurrection. We had our first celebration of the Lord's Supper at our church plant in Brasov. The celebration was unique. Being the first time that we celebrated this key event in our history, we rejoiced with our church body over the wonderful truth that our Lord Jesus Christ is risen.

I preached on Sunday morning for a another church and on Sunday evening at our church, Providence B. Church. The next day we had a wonderful time, celebrating with more churches in the city of Brasov. I also had a message on the Necessity of the Resurrection.

I can only thank God for such a fruitful time. The conferences and the special days of celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord were days of glory. By your faithful prayers and support you made all this possible for many people that received deep and sound teaching and also for people that received the message of the Gospel that was preached around this celebration.

We are deeply thankful for your love expressed in your faithful support.
