Once again God gave us victory in the midst of trials and temptations.

I continued to get together with five people for a Bible study who wanted to be baptized.

Some problems came up regarding Marin and Olimpia. They were not originally from Tunary as they used to live 700 km away in Maramures. They worked in a nursing home and while they were here, they attended our church where they gave their lives to God and expressed their desire to be baptized. Two other older people joined them this month and came to church.

After all these good things, right when they were about to be baptized, they had some misunderstanding with the nursing home director. He decided to cut off their salaries because of the crisis. They decided to resign and go back to their hometown and find a job there. They promised they would be baptized there. I've kept in touch with them since they left. They attend a local church and will be baptized as soon as they have a baptism service. I am glad God used me to tell them about God. I believe they'll walk in His way if they stay strong.

Two other people attended the Bible study before baptism, but they continue to live sinful lives. I told them they should wait a little longer so that we can see evidences of the new birth.

The only person that was baptized was sister Maria. I thought we would have just as much joy even for one person. I thought about the verse saying that there was great joy in heaven even over one person who repented of their sins. I let other people know that we would have a baptism service the first day after Easter. I invited a few ministers and singers. Most people have this day off. I had an unpleasant surprise, the singers called the day before the event to tell me they could not make it. The pastor did not say anything but never showed up. I had to get in touch with other people who could sing and eventually found a family who came and sang for the glory of the Lord. We had to make the program ourselves, I was helped by the local ministers. In the end, it's been all well. We had around 90 people, most of them young people from the mission area. There were people who came to church for the first time. The building was full to its capacity and some of the people stood outside. We had several songs. The youth from Tamasi were with us. I haven't seen so many people in our church for many years. I preached the Word and many people were touched in their hearts. I believe we'll have another baptism service. We thank the Lord for the way He worked.

I attended the HeartCry conference in Bucharest on April 7-9. The first part of the conference was absolutely great. The second part was, just like Sorin P. said, "more solid food".  Two of my children and brother Marian D. (missionary in Dimieni) came with me.

Brother Moise M. brought a team from the States here the week before the Passion Week. We enjoyed their visit as they had been here with us the year before. We had many people come to church again. I think the Lord touched many hearts. The leader of the team was a gentleman who supports the HeartCry missionaries.

I continued to do evangelistic visitations. I met a lady from the Pentecostal church. She was from
Timisoara but was visiting her children who were not Christians. Her daughter-in-law was a
doctor and her son a business man. She tried hard to convince them to come to church. They have not come yet but we continue to pray for them. Sister Viorica promised she would send us some Christian literature. She was sad that her children did not come to church.

I am planning an evangelistic event in Tamasi. We'll put up a tent. In order to do that I have to go to the mayor and ask permission. Brother Florin S. and the local coordinator will help also. We decided to have this event in Tamasi because the priest is not aggressive. We are happy that people here have started coming to church. Please pray for us that the local authorities will understand and also pray for God to touch the hearts of the people in our area.
