The team of puppeteers from Alba Iulia helps us every year during this time. We usually go to school and preach the message of the gospel through a Christmas story puppet play. At the end of the presentation from Bezdead, one of the teachers came up to thank us for what she heard. She said everything was very important for her as an adult as well. She was challenged to give more thought to the meaning of Jesus' birth.  All the kids received tracts at the end of the program.
We had a special opportunity to preach the gospel in Magura. We had a special Christmas event for kids and several parents were there too. We talked about why Jesus had to take on a human body and come into our world.

Another opportunity to reach people with the gospel was the Christmas event we organized in a restaurant in Pucioasa. Every church member was able to invite friends and family to this informal meeting. They all heard the Word being preached. They were challenged to think about this question, "why wasn't there room for them in Bethlehem?"  Why isn't there room for Him in people's hearts?". We had around 35-40 non Christian people attending the event.

Our church organized a Christmas carol concert down at the Cultural Hall in Pucioasa. A choir from Bucharest performed and the message was delivered by the pastor. The hall was almost full, around 200 people. The impressions of three people made us thank God for all His work.  One of this people is a school principal, who really likes what we do. This time she brought her husband along who is a bank officer. We pray that God will open their hearts and give them salvation. The director of the hall was also impressed with what she heard.

Another way to take the good news to the people was to give a letter on behalf of our church to all the people we caroled to. The letter contained best wishes for the holidays and the good news of the gospel. It was another method to let them know about it.

We organized a special event for our daughter Alexia's kindergarten classmates. Seven mothers showed up and we had a good opportunity to tell them the truth of the Scripture. We also had a special program for them where Alexia sang and introduced each of them. Each one received a Christmas present.

We did the same for other kids and invited them to attend the Christmas church service. Many non-Christian people came. Usually there are not as many of them during this time of year. This year was different though. The church was full. The adults heard the gospel and could see what we have done with the children. I encouraged the kids to come to our weekly meetings too.

The evangelistic event in Varfuri (we started the ministry of planting a church in this village) was a reason for great joy. More than 20 families and their children came. The event took place in the town hall conference hall. This is where we usually get together every Saturday. We can see God open doors and hearts in this village. Several people told us they had started to read the New Testament. The problem that we have here is that we don't have a location to meet with the adults. We pray that some people will open their homes so we can start a Bible study.
