We had an evangelistic event with the church at the beginning of November that was called The Days of the Bible in Pucioasa. Our youth and some guests went from door to door with a survey asking if the resisdents read the Bible. We got to see different attitudes, from a lack of interest to amazement, embarrassment and challenge. Generally speaking, it's been a good time. We had the opportunity to meet new people with whom we shared the gospel. Some of them gave us their contact information so that we could visit them again. Some people were interested in visiting our church, while others felt challenged to start reading the Bible. We now have the opportunity to visit them in their home. A good and appropriate thing to do is to invite them to come to the Christmas events: one for the children and a Christmas carol concert in a theater hall downtown. One of the most impressive discussions was with Mrs. Maria G. who was interested in the Word of God. I couldn't help but notice her desire to hear the Word. She kept asking questions. May God save her soul and give her His rest! All the people who participated in this activity felt a great joy because they had been able to share the gospel with others. The Lord made it possible for us to get contact information from 70 people who seemed willing to start reading the Bible with us. We pray that we won't miss any opportunity from the Lord. Two other young people from our church and I went to do outreach in a different village. We handed out New Testaments and tracts. Of the several discussions we had here we met an older couple (65-70 years old) who gave us the good opportunity to preach Christ. They seemed to be a "good soil" hearer. Another good opportunity was to talk to a lady who is the mother of two children. Her husband was in the hospital with TB. The Lord caught her attention and we prayed for their family, especially for their greatest need to be right with God. Adina is a 9th grade high school student. She recently started coming to our church with a lady from our church. She told me that after hearing the sermon, she felt God talking to her her personally. She was looking for a change and now she knows who can change her. The question is whether she'll submit or not to God who can give her salvation. Our prayer for this girl is that, beyond finding a nice and enthusiastic community, to become a disciple of Christ. Another person that came to our church this month is Emi. He has quite an interesting story. He grew up in a Christian family, but due to their weak testimony, he embraced the world. About a year and a half ago, he came to our church for the first time. That is when he basically repented of his sins. But his mother put pressure on him to go to the church she attended (close to their house). Emi saw he could not grow spiritually there and also discovered many relationship problems. This made him come back to our church. We are praying for his brothers that are not Christians. God gave me another opportunity to get in touch with the Deftu family, two retired people with The youth from our church and I had the opportunity to visit a church where we had a close relationship. It was a good time to serve, have fellowship and edify one another spiritually with our bothers and sisters in Christ. I have noticed that these things strengthen the spirit and bring Christian joy in the hearts. Although we could not work that much on the building because of the weather, we were able to spend a few days working there. I praise God for the two people He provided to work on the inside part of the building. They agreed to work for a very small amount of money. One of them is Mr. Mugurel, the father of a young man who has been coming to church for a few months now. We hope that God wil touch his heart. We can already see a change in his attitude. In the beginning, he was reluctant to allow his son to come to church. But he told us that the thing that made him trust us was the change in his son's life. I am so happy to hear that God still changes people, this is the most eloquent testimony.
