Just like in January, the students had an examination time that was followed by a short vacation. We continued to have a prayer meeting with them. We also taught them the Word of God. God gave me the opportunity to share the gospel with other people. Sergiu is a dentist. His wife is a student. She will become a dentist herself. He graduated from college in Chisinau. He told me he had been in three car accidents. For a few moments he was actually dead and he said he had seen a tunnel. Sergiu believed it was God punishing him for his sins.
After meeting with him three times in which I had shared about Christ, he told me he started to understand better about God. I gave him a new testament and the movie about Jesus' life. While my wife and I were sharing the gospel with him, his nurse overheard everything. We are going to meet again. Sorin is from Lipova and his wife is Hungarian. They have one child. Before talking to him, I had prayed about how to start the conversation. I asked him if he was afraid of death and he said he was not. Then I asked him where he would go after death. He said it was for God to decide. Step by step, I got more courage and shared the Word with him. I also mentioned the problem of sin. At the end, he took the New Testament I gave him. I also gave him the book I am a Good Father. I left him my phone number and will see if he wants to talk some more. I went to see the doctor and met a doctor there with whom I shared my personal testimony. I emphasized the importance of salvation through Jesus Christ. I told her what I did with the students and she was very impressed. She did ask me about my confession and was receptive to the Word. Although she is not a believer, she was a aware that the world was going from bad to worse. Alex is a street kid. His parents abandoned him after their divorce. He is now 17 and he sells old books in order to earn his living. He never finished school and can barely make enough money for a day. I stopped to share the gospel with him. He had never heard that before. His heart was broken because of what his parents had done. While we were talking a 20-year old Gipsy woman joined us whose name was Lacramioara. She listened carefully and said she knew of an evangelical church in Sacele, Brasov. I encouraged her to go to that church. I preached in the church where I am an elder and also in Providence Church with Bebe T. and Sorin P. More students have started to attend and some of them are even active. I visited several churches in Bihor. I also spent time together with people that worked with the campus ministry. I looked for students to work with this ministry for students. God directed my path to meet Doroteea. She is willing to invite her prayer group and go in the dorms to do outreach in Oradea.
