It is very encouraging to share with you about the most important event of the month. The evangelistic ski camp took place on February 14-19. We spent a week with our non-Christian friends whom we invited in order to tell them about the good news of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. God worked in marvelous ways before, during and after the camp and we were very encouraged to see so many answers to our prayers!!! First of all, we are thankful to God for each of the nine people who registered and did not know the Lord! Just before the first day of the camp, two of them almost backed out coming to the camp. We found out the last minute that one of them didn't have enough money anymore and the other one had their wallet stollen whiole she was coming to the train station. She was in shock and was crying when she came, but we invited both of them to come to the camp free of charge and they accepted. Praise the Lord!! These two students were probably the most impacted by the camp. They had lots of questions and blended with us very well. The Lord seems to be drawing them to Himself. Praise Him!

Before the camp I was amazed to see God at work gathering up to the last minute people He wanted with us. We put posters in the student dorms and facilities, and every day many of the students called for information. Four of them came to the camp and loved it all.  Two students who came to the camp were from the student dorms where we did the questionaires at Christmas. We were very encouraged that they came and wanted to keep going to the student dorms to share the Gospel. The rest of the non-Christians that came were from different relationships with different Christians. There were also some Christians who were babies in Christ and this camp was very helpful to them. One of them who came as a result of the poster told us she went for the first time to an evangelical church in Bucharest in March, and although she got scared during the prayer time (it was a Penticostal church), she continued to attend the meetings. It seems that she understands the Gospel and sees the issues that the Orthodox have with worshiping saints and icons. She is now seeking to find a church and maybe be baptized, even though her mother is very much against it. Another student has a similar story and is growing steadily through discipleship. She also said this camp was above her expectation. She loved it and learned much from it. She learned a spiritual lesson from the ski lessons that we need to do God's will (exercises) every day and to have patience.

We are also very thankful for God's protection in everything we did from the daily travelling to the skiing activities. Every day when we would drive about 40 miles to the ski slopes and back to the camp we saw an accident on the road. Before the camp we also heard of many people who were injured while skiing,. But God protected us from any kind of accident. Praise Him!!!

Every day we had a busy schedule, starting with breakfast, a Gospel presentation, travelling back and forth to the slopes, skiing lessons for about five hours, dinner, the Bible discussion and the evening activity.  We had four Gospel presentations starting with "Christianity and Other Religions" (the exclusivity of the Bible and Jesus Christ), "The Holiness of God and the Sinfulness of Man",  "The Cross of Jesus", and "Repent and Believe". The speakers spoke with a lot of power and the Gospel was clearly presented throughout the week. We had four Bible discussions from Acts 17 on how Jesus is the Only True God and Redeemer, Geneses 3 on The Fall, John 3 on Regeneration, the Cross and Faith from Mark 10 on Repentance. In the evenings we had some good games to get to know each other better and other relaxing activities. The skiing was very good because we had enough snow and wonderful ski instructors. All the group discussions went very well and all people were open to talk about spiritual matters. Some of them loved the Bible discussions and shared what they learned. Th efollowing are some of the comments: "We should put God first in our lives and not think of what others think of us." "I learned that the way to God is through Jesus Christ." "God loves us and He did the first step through the sacrifice of Jesus in order to restore the broken relationship between the sinful man and Himself." In the discussion group I was part of, there were two students who came because of the posters. One of them was very open to ask questions and to hear our answers. She was very logical and had excellent questions. We went through all the elements of the Gospel and many other topics. She was interested to hear the Evangelical point of view and to see the differences from her thinking. She left the camp very determined to study the Bible on her own and find out the answers of "our deductions". She loved the camp and the people but she still has many prejudices against us and said our thinking is incompatible. She will most probably go and talk to the priests after the camp. Please pray for her that she would find out the truth of salvation. The other student was different, she also had many questions, but she is more open to relating to us as she has less prejudices. She is willing to study the Bible with us and I have already met with her to talk about her questions.

We are encouraged to see that after the camp some of the students come to our weekly meetings and expressed an interest to join the evangelistic groups. One student started to come just before the camp and she is very open to understanding the Bible and knowing God. She is very outspoken and asks many questions. Please pray that most of the people would join an evangelistic Bible study in the coming weeks. We are also thinking of starting a Bible study in the student dorm where we've been with questionares at Christmas. Please pray!

I also continued to meet with a young lady from my church who is not saved. Last week we talked about regeneration and she was shocked to hear that we cannot do anything to save ourselves. Please pray for the Bible studies we are doing together that the Lord would open her mind and heart to salvation.

We praise God for all the students who came to the camp and heard the Gospel. There were a few people in the camp that were touched by God. We are grateful that God worked in our midst, praise Him! Please continue to pray for the salvation of every non-Christian who was in the camp. Please pray with us that they would come to the Bible studies that we want to start during the upcoming weeks.
