The highlight of the month was the Evangelistic Ski Camp during February 14th-19th. There are so many reasons to thank the Lord and praise Him that I don't even know where to begin! The Lord was so good to us and answered our prayers in so many ways that exceeded our expectations! The first wonderful thing was that several of the non-Christian girls who came with us saw a poster in their University, called us and decided to come to the camp. This was the first answer to prayer. Each time we have a camp we put lots of posters in the Universities, but few students call, and even fewer register when they hear about the Bible messages and Bible studies. Another wonderful thing was that two girls from a dorm we went to witness to before Christmas also registered for the camp. Right before the camp the battle for each soul started. Some bad things happened, and two of the non-Christian girls who have registered decided not to come. Eventually, by the work of the Lord, they came and it seems that the Gospel message had the greatest impact on their hearts of all students present! Another wonderful thing was that the Lord took care of us in His providence. He protected us from accidents on the slopes and also on the dangerous road leading to the slopes, where we saw wrecked cars each day. Also, He caused us to buy an extra ticket by mistake, and the guy in charge forgot to cancel it in order to receive the money back. On the train ride back home one of the girls had a problem with her ticket and she was to be fined (it could have been a big amount of money), when this guy remembered he had that extra ticket!! The Lord is so good to us!

In the mornings we had the Gospel presentation divided into four messages: Christianity Versus Other Religions, God and Man, Jesus Christ and the Cross, and Faith and Repentance. We are very glad for the powerful presentation of the Gospel! In the evenings we had small group Bible studies. We studied the following Bible passages: Acts 17:16-31 "Paul Preaching in Athens", Genesis 3:1-24, "The Fall of Man", John 3: 1-21 "Jesus and Nicodemus" and Mark 10:17-27 "The Rich Young Ruler". Most discussions were very good as we had the opportunity to share the gospel through these studies. Sometimes long conversations continued after the Bible studies. I was especially encouraged by two girls in my small group. They asked many questions and we had such good discussions. Another instance where I saw the hand of the Lord was on the train back home from where one of these girls had the seat next to me, even though she did not buy her ticket with us! For several hours we had a discussion from the Bible! Another girl, from another small group, had to leave the camp one day early, but she wanted to hear the Bible study. She called at the appointed time of the study and each person speaking in the group was sharing in the phone so she could also hear! All these things encouraged our hearts greatly!

The most difficult thing is to keep in touch with these students after the camp. So we prayed before the camp that they would not go to a priest and ask their opinion about meeting with us for Bible studies. It happened even last year, after the camp, that one of the non-Christian girls who was very open and asked many questions went to a priest who forbid her to have anything to do with us.   A great answer to prayer is that about five or six of the girls want to participate with us in small group Bible studies. We have already started three small Bible study groups with them, and at the first two meetings we had the opportunity to share the gospel again with the girls. One girl especially had many questions related to marriage and we shared with the group God's design for marriage. We are so thankful to the Lord for their interest and openness, and we pray that He would continue to give them the desire to study the Bible with us, and through that grant them the gift of repentance and faith in Jesus. Very encouraging was that fact that one of the girls, even before being invited to our meetings and to a small group expressed her desire to attend both of them! We realize that all of this is the grace of God and we are totally dependent upon His working. We are grateful for such a privilege to be called to be co-laborers with Him!

Along with these encouragements there was a reason for disappointment. One girl who started coming to church and to our meetings in December, and seemed so eager to come to the Ski Camp suddenly stopped coming to our meetings and to church. I do not know what the reason is. She did not come to the camp, and it seems to be more and more difficult to get in touch with her. I was so hopeful about her, and invited her to start a Bible study together, but she suddenly stepped back. May the Lord have mercy on her and cause her to seek Him.
