Once again we were able to taste a little bit more of God's grace. We had new challenges, either trials or joys. I am going to share a few things from the ministry here.
Regarding the work of planting the seed of the gospel, God gave me the opportunity to renew an older friendship. It's about a young man I've been praying for for a longer time. His name is Adrian. Even though I had the opportunity to confront him with the gospel, he would always steer clear of this discussion. But I think things have changed.
He had questions and worries about life. He was willing to listen and to ask me about soul matters. Adrian is a pragmatic young man and he always wants evidences. I think that the testimony of some Christian people he knows is an evidence of God's existence. We had arguments together. We talked about people's need of salvation and that motivated him to read the bible. I pray that God will open his heart so that he can draw near to Him.
A short visit to the notary office turned into an evangelistic opportunity. The notary was lady that had grown up in an evangelical church. When I talked to her, she told me she was going through a serious family problem and that made her seek God again. She said she didn't want to die without being reconciled to God. She asked me to pray for her. Her daughter was sick and needed God as well. She wanted to come to church but her social status kept her from doing that. She is quite an affluent person in Pucioasa. It is very obvious that God has unknown ways to call people to Him. We pray that this lady, Angelica, will experience salvation through Jesus Christ.
During my evangelistic visits these month, I was touched by a very sad situation. I went to visit a gentleman who used to be my neighbor. I had shared the gospel with before. I was surprised to hear that his wife had died of cancer. His mother was paralysed. There was great sorrow and suffering in that family. I went to bring them a message of comfort, but, sadly, they seemed to be so hardened. It was as if several demons were there to make God's Word useless. I pray that God will set Mr. Mirel and his mother free and give them salvation.
Not long ago I talked to a young man, Marius, who is a doctor. He had heard the gospel many times before. I think he is very close to making a decision for the Lord. He wanted to know about a church where he was going to have his internship. We will keep in touch. May God bring fruit through his life for His glory!
