There is an interesting situation regarding one of the families from Magura. It's about the Stoicas. I mentioned a few things about them in my previous report. Sister Aurica has been a Christian for several years. All this time she has been praying for her alcoholic husband who would mock her for her faith. But not long ago, due to her hard life, and being encouraged by her children (they're not Christians), she left home. Although her leaving revealed her rebellion and disobedience to God and to the church, God used this situation to turn her husband to Him.

It's been almost a month since Mr. Stoica started coming to church. The situation is very surprising because this man used to mock Christians all his life. He would do that whenever I visited them. It was during this time when this man was drawn to God. He enjoys listening to God's Word and he wants to follow Him. Once again, we see that God's hand is not too short to save.

Traian is a gentleman who's been coming to our church. He started to come because of his Christian mother who is 92. She is the oldest member of our church. We visit her on a regular basis. These visits made him realize he needed salvation. It was during one of our visits that he gave his life to Christ and became His follower. Right after this decision, he faced several trials. A man that moved close to them caused them only problems. The last incident was pretty bad. Traian was beaten up by this man for no reason. The man was drunk. We pray that God will strengthen Traian so that he can show Christian love.

God has opened a door for us in Varfuri! Robert, the 16-year-old teenager I told you about, has determined to follow the Lord. He comes to our meeting in Pucioasa (even though it's not very easy) and he is also part of the orchestra. He is a freshman at the Musical High School. His thirst for the Lord and his open heart show us that the time and work we invested in Varfuri were not in vain. The kids ministry there is very promising. My co-worker, Alexandru S. would like to move there for a while, Lord willing. That would make us more efficient.

The Lord is working in wonderful ways in Pucioasa too. One of the families from our church is going through a very hard time with their 6-year-old daughter. Her blood tests were pretty bad. The doctors were very concerned about the decreased number of trombocytes in her blood that could lead to a very serious disease. Although she can get medical treatment to make them increase, the doctors still can't figure out what causes the trombocytes to be in such a small number. This has been a good time to see our church challenged to support them in prayer but also to see the parents drawing closer to God. I've been praying a lot for the father lately because of his lifestyle. His business takes most of his time. I've been also praying for his wife. She comes to church every week but she does not truly repent. She is a proud person. We can see God working in their lives through this trial. They've already started to reconsider the fellowship. We look forward to seeing God work in the life of this family.

Another opportunity to preach the gospel was at a baby dedication service. The parents are a young couple from our church. Although both of their families resisted their faith at the beginning, they began to change. The dedication service has been a great blessing and an opportunity for them to hear the Gospel. I praise the Lord for these opportunities.
