After the English Camp that we had at the end of July, all the students left Bucharest for summer vacation. They will be back in town at the end of September when school starts again.

During this time I have a month vacation and then three weeks of preparation for the next school year. I have spent my vacation in Bucharest with my family as my sister came to Romania from Italy for two weeks and my brother from London. Thank you so much for praying for my family! Things are going a bit better and I am very thankful to the Lord for answering our prayers.

This month I spent a lot of time with my parents because I wanted to help them with the things they need for their new life in Romania. I also helped them with the renovation of an apartment that my parents will rent in the fall. It was a lot of work and sometimes was difficult for me to work with them. Please pray for my father’s salvation and my parents’ relationship with each other, and for patience in me that God would give me wisdom in words, attitudes and actions towards them. Thank you so much!

In spite of all these difficulties I have a growing peace and joy, day by day, looking unto Jesus, our gracious Lord and Savior! He is so good, infinite, wonderful, glorious in His love, faithfulness, wisdom and power! My heart bursts into worship when I meditate on our extraordinary God! I am ashamed that I don’t have more faith in this incredible God that we worship! I am very thankful for the things that He works in me every day as He draws me to Himself more and more. I am amazed to see that every day there is so much more in the Lord. We will always grow in our communion with Him and in our holiness on this earth. Praise Him for His work in us! Lately, I have read and learned about The Rare Jewel of Christian Contentment by Jeremiah Burroughs.  He says, “Christian contentment is the sweet, inward, quiet, gracious frame of spirit, which freely submits to and delights in God’s wise and fatherly disposal in every condition.” Seek Him with all your heart, make Him your most precious treasure, pray to Him in faith with all of your heart, trust His goodness and sovereignty, wait upon Him for His time, obey Him diligently, love Him earnestly, use His power, be content and joyful in every situation, honor your parents… These are the things that the Lord is pressing on my heart lately and I am so glad for His grace in my life. Please pray that all these things become more and more the reality of my life! "I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted.” (Job 42:2)  Praise Him!
