I am thankful to the Lord for the time of rest I have had with my family in the month of August. My parents have a house in the mountains where we spend our family vacation. The Lord has burdened their hearts to pray and be a witness to the people of this town. God has used my 91 year old grandpa to witness to the next door neighbor. They met one day and for about an hour he told her the Gospel. The Lord keeps his mind lucid and he has a big desire to witness. He has always used many opportunities to witness since he was a young man who fought in the Second World War.

He gave one of his comrades his New Testament to read and the guy was converted while reading Romans. Looking at my grandpa I see the Lord's faithfulness. He just proves that verse that says that old believers are green and full of sap.

When I saw this neighbor she asked me if I was a "repenter" since I was little. I got to share with her a little bit and gave her a Gospel booklet. After she read it she said, "the booklet was written exactly the way your grandpa told me."  She loves my parents very much.  They took her to church one Sunday and it seems that the Lord is touching her heart, although she says she is too old to repent. May the Lord give her grace to repent and believe the Gospel.

The Lord gave me a wonderful opportunity to share the Gospel with a five year old girl. My dad's cousin and his wife visited us with their grandson and granddaughter. They are not believers. The girl was very sweet and one evening she asked, "what did you make of yourself when you grew up?" This was her way of asking what I was doing for a living. I told her that when I grew up I started teaching older kids about God. She did not ask anything else. The following day I stared reading to her from a Christian magazine for kids, and then we started talking about God. I asked her what she knew about Him and I was surprised to see that she knew some things. Later on, I found out that her babysitters were believers, even though neither her parents nor her grandparents were. It is so wonderful how the Lord works! I got to talk to her and share the Gospel for more than an hour. I don't think I have never seen such an interest to hear about God in a child! She was looking at me with eyes wide open and listening to me very carefully. She answered all my questions and was not bored. When I eventually stopped she asked me to tell her more! And she told me, "now I understand why it was that when you grew up you "made yourself" to talk about God."  I couldn't believe she made this connection. Then she ran to her grandmother and told her, "you know why we don't see God? He is Spirit and He doesn't have a body like us." Her grandma (herself an unbeliever) told me that her babysitters tell the kids about the Lord, and the little girl, who is younger than her brother, is more receptive. I was so overjoyed as I just praised the Lord for His wonderful ways in that He would work in such little children who are not even raised in Christian homes!  He is such a great God! I pray that He would save and greatly use this little girl for His glory!
