Preaching

Bethel Church, Sibiu

On May 2, a.m. I preached from Colossians 3:1-4 and from Hebrews 10:19-25. The title was "Entering the Holy of Holies" and I also talked about life on the superior level of existence in God's presence. We identified God's presence with the Christian fellowship. It's been a real blessing.

The Church in Vurpar, Sibiu

On May 2, p.m, I preached about the Lord's suffering in Isaiah 53. We also had communion there. We talked about how we could apply Jesus' suffering to our lives. That prepared us for the Lord's supper.

Philadelphia Church, Sibiu

On May 2, p.m, I preached from Colossians 3:1-4, "What Comes after the Resurrection?". I talked about our identity from God's perspective, "in Christ". Our real identity must be conformed to out identity in Christ. The people listened carefully.

Sion Church, Sibiu

On May 9, a.m, I preached from Romans 6 and Colossians 3:1-4. I talked about our new identity as risen people in Christ. I did my best to deliver an edifying message, meant to restore the spiritual situation of that church. They are going to have a pastor soon.

On May 16, p.m. I preached from Galatians 1:11-24. The title of the message was "People Who Walked with God". At the end of the service, somebody from the church came up to me and with tears in his eyes hugged me and said that the Word touched his heart.

The Church in Vurpar, Sibiu

On May 24, a.m. I preached from Acts 2:33- 42. The message was about Pentecost, Holy Spirit poured down on the disciples. An older lady from the church told me she had received the message with all her heart, and not only her, but the whole church.

Didactical Activities

As the president of the Sunday School teachers community in the area of Sibiu, I made preparations for the Bible Contest for kids. It will take place on June 5 in Sibiu.

On May 6 I had a catechism lesson at Bethany Church, Sibiu

Equipping and Edification program activities

I read, underlined and also made an outline of the the following books written by Tozer : "Worship: The Missing Jewel",  "Whatever Happened to Worship?" I also posted my answer from "Men Who Met God" on the forum.

On May 11- 14, I attended the annual HeartCry conference in Brasov. We spent four days there listening to God's word being explained and applied to the spiritual ministry of the missionaries. I took detailed notes. Briefly, this is what I kept in mind:

Paul Washer: 1 Timothy 4, the beginning of the last days. Acts 2 - the present state, explanations
and solutions for ministers.

Don Currin: Acts 16: 16-19 - The evil one wants to destroy our prayer life. Matthew 12: 14-21 - The Bruised Reed; 1 Corinthians 6: 3-20 - Moral Purity.

Conrad Mbewe (Zambia) - 1 Corinthians 2:15, Paul's Preaching.  Romans 14:13-18 First Things First; Acts 13:13 - What it Means to Have Cultural Prejudices; 1 Timothy 1: 18-20 - What Kind of People We Ought to be to be Part of the Spiritual Ministry.

Speakers from Finland and Denmark shared - Five Lessons from Noah's Time, Hebrews 12:28-29, 13:1-6 prayer request.

The conference has been a real benefit for me when it comes to knowing the Lord and our Savior better. It also helped me with the practical aspects of the ministry. It will also be a good inspirational resource for the preaching activity.

May God bless all our brothers and sisters that do His will working with HeartCry.

TESTIMONY

Brother Gae has been around me during many chapters of my life. I've known him for many years. And he always made the same impression on me. First of all, I've always thought of him as ageless, or at least without its shortcomings. He is predestined to be eternally young.

I was a child when I first met him. He was a a mindful teacher, eloquent and humble, close to us but also demanding so that he could motivate us. I found all these in brother Gae, the Sunday school teacher. He had the unique ability to be captivating when telling us something, even when he was teaching great and complex Bible truths to little children. Although it was unofficial, he was my teacher as a teenager as well. I had a secret admiration for him. Being on the search for role models back then, I looked to him and learned balanced, uprightness, and how to sharpen my thinking and my ideas.  All of this was because he never allowed himself to be dull.

I was already a young man when I actually discovered his style. He was a learned person who was very disciplined when preparing his captivating Bible messages.  I think he is a master of oratory. I am convinced that it is his spiritual perspectives upon life in ethics and principles that give him his true value. His messages are always well supported by personal experience and divine inspiration.
