We can say with all our hearts that what we are is by His grace and mercy that are bestowed on us every day. It is not by our own strength or abilities that we want to enlarge His kingdom. Even when everything seems to have failed, the Lord can change that situation and use those failures in order to advance the Gospel. The Apostle Paul himself, when he was in prison, said that those circumstances rather worked for the benefit of the Gospel.
It is a relief when things happen in a way we never considered and are surprised to know that it's ALL in His control. He is sovereign and knows what He does. He never makes mistakes. It is the attitude of my heart that makes me look deep inside myself when I go through trials. Job, Joseph, Paul, Jesus and all the martyrs had an honorable attitude as God's servants. Their attitude in troubled times saved and impacted others. They helped us reach kids from our area. We got to work with them for four days. We also played football with the youth from Draganesti, Soenesti, and Daneasa. We rented the sports arena downtown and had a good time together. Besides playing, we got to know each other and had a time of testimonies. At the end, a young man from the U.S. shared his personal testimony. He got the attention of many young people. They asked questions such as, "what did your friends say when you became a Christian" and "how did you manage to quit smoking or using drugs." Pray that God will touch the hearts of these young people.
