Even though summer is usually a time when many people travel, it's been a good season for us here in Pucioasa. We had training time for the people involved in coordinating the music ministry. Every year they have music summer classes for the people who play in the orchestra. The joy and excitement of those who attend these classes make the music ministry in our church stronger. This ministry is a priority for our church because it is a well-defined way to recruit servants/ ministers. We praise the Lord for that.

Another activity in July was the youth camp. It's been our first camp of this kind and has been a time of strengthening our relationships. We studied about how to be a genuine disciple according to John 8. We also talked about the challenges of youth from Luke 15. I praise the Lord for the way he worked in the lives of our people and for the new commitments they made.

Another thing that brought us joy as ministers of God was the mission in Varfuri. It's been a while since we started to pray for a group of people to study the Bible there. We already have a consistent group of 15- 25 children who come to our Friday meetings. There are also parents who come. Lord willing, we want to have an evangelistic event there for adults and also a 2 or 3-day youth camp with the people from Varfuri. We believe God has created the prospect of a youth ministry as well. We want to bless them with the message of salvation.

The mission in this village is a challenge for us as we see God's guidance. One of the teenagers we've been working with, Robert (16 years old), is very interested in what we do. He is already a part of our youth group in Pucioasa.  He has recently become an orchestra member and is a student at the Musical High School. He'll be of great help. The best thing about Robert is that God opened his heart and he started reading the New Testament. We get to meet for Bible study every week.

One problem we had to deal with last month was related to a lady from our church, Aurica. Due to her hard life with her husband, she decided to leave him and go live with her daughter. Unfortunately, things have gone too far. It is some sort of divorce. This is a bad testimony because most of the older ladies have lived hard lives and they tried to help Aurica but she wouldn't take their advice. Even worse, she even despised the ministers' counsel. It is frustrating to see that some people stay in the church just until they face trial and tribulation. Please pray for this situation to be settled in His way.

Our church has experienced a financial miracle this month! A piece of land from our church's back yard, even though nicely taken care of, didn't actually belong to us, according to papers. The City Hall let us know that it was urgent for us to buy it, but we had no money. The Sunday when the whole church prayed for that, later on, that evening, I got an email from someone who heard about our situation. He was telling me they were going to send the exact amount of money we needed. Praise God! Our church has been very much encouraged.

Lately, the Lord has put in our hearts the desire and urgency to pray and make intercession for the area where we live. I pray that He will use us and give salvation to the lost.
