God's grace is indeed abundant. We only have to see it manifested in our daily life. My wife and I are thankful for the every day experience with the Lord. We had a wonderful month and are thankful to all of you that pray for us and support us.

At the beginning of the month we were still on our honeymoon in Turkey. We had the joy of visiting two churches in Izmir where HeartCry is involved in supporting two ministers. We worshiped with the believers in one church and were encouraged to see that in spite of the powerful Muslim system in Turkey, Christians preserve the testimony of the Gospel in the middle of the Islam.

We also met Brother Fakrit, who develops a good ministry in the city of Izmir. He leads a school and various evangelistic programs. We were especially encouraged to find out that he is married to an American woman and they had experienced a cultural transition just like us.

Returning to Romania, we decided to visit the mission in Ramnicu Sarat and spend a weekend with the missionary couple and church. It's been a good experience in preaching God's Word and encouraging the missionary couple in this place. I was especially happy to learn that Cosmin had made some major decisions regarding the development of the ministry in the area where he works as a doctor. His influence is very good in that area. Starting a church will have a great impact in the whole section of the six towns. Pray that God will sent workers into the area. This seems to be the greatest need at the moment for the county of Buzau where Cosmin is laboring.

We arrived by the mid of July in Brasov and settled a good part of our home. Trisha has started to set up the kitchen and I moved my library from Bucharest. We slowly began to feel at home. Meanwhile, John and Ani T., the other couple that will be part of the church planting in Brasov have arrived for a couple of days. We met with them and the Palade family in our first meeting. We discussed about the vision God had laid on our hearts to plant this church. We feel that God has blessed us in coming together in serving in this city. We know it is God's calling and we can't wait to start taking some specific steps. John and Ani will set up their new home in a rented apartment and we are ready to help them.

We also went to visit two other missions in Pucioasa and Fieni. The meeting with Florin S. was very good. We discussed the present situation of the ministry in Romania and the evangelistic efforts that HeartCry missionaries are doing for reaching out into their communities. The evangelistic program is going well. The teams continue to visit the other teams and do major outreaches for a couple of days. After that, each team continues the followup.

We have experienced a time of great changes in Romania. Many people have lost their jobs, or their salaries have been reduced. There is a deep crisis in the country these days. In such a situation people tend to be more sensitive to the Gospel. We need to catch this good time and preach the Gospel as the only solution for a time of crisis for the nation.

The last week we spent in Hungary leading an English camp in the church of Estergom. This church has been planted by Don R., my wife's grandfather. The week was very effective as we taught English as a means of sharing the Gospel. My wife taught the children's class and I taught the intermediate. Another friend from the States taught the advanced. We can testify to the wonderful grace of God that was manifested during this week. We had a good number of unbelievers that attended our classes. It was a great occasion to give them not only some training in the English language, but also to share our experience with the Lord and the Gospel of salvation. I had some good moments when I expressed specifically my convictions to my class and challenged them to seek the Lord and find eternal life by believing in Christ.

We visited a church from Tata where I shared my testimony. The last Sunday I preached the Word of God in the church of Estergom.

We look behind with great satisfaction at the way God is using us and the HeartCry missionaries in spreading the Gospel in Eastern Europe. We appreciate your prayers and support.
