Florin is a student in Brasov. He had talked to one of our Christian students. Then I got to meet him during our project with the medical team. He came to see the dentist and I shared the gospel with him two days in a row. This is what Florin shared with me, "Alex I feel so dirty. Up to December 2009, I've had three girl friends at the same time. During this time, I had several night stands with other girls. I feel just as used as toilet paper. I am sick of this life. I no longer want to live this way. I feel like such a sinner!" I cannot tell how much I wanted to meet someone that felt the burden of a sinful life like he did. This has been my team's and my own prayer during this school year. Lord, make these students feel the burden and the repulsiveness of their sins! I had previously prayed for an opportunity to do some humanitarian work for the students. Last year I wanted to open a drug store for them, this way they would have been offered free medicine. But we couldn't make this happen. Eventually, God blessed us with this wonderful medical project. I am amazed at how God answered this prayer. This project has been exactly what we lacked to dispel the students' prejudices and suspicions. I have faced many disappointments during the school year but God performed a miracle towards the end of the second semester. The non-Christian students were very surprised to see that people living miles away came to help us for free. Students such as Vali, Mariana, Roxana, Magda, Catalina and many others heard the gospel while they were waiting to see the doctor. We found it easy and natural to tell them the gospel. Praise the Lord! We had an evangelistic night at the end of the project. Before the medical project, we had seminary with Paul Washer for our students from Bacau, Sibiu and Brasov. Others that used to work with us came to. They all felt motivated and spiritually edified. My soul praises the Lord. One time we went to the dorms and wandered around for about an hour. We could find no one to talk to. The students were either out or watching movies or not interested. Eventually, we ran into Florin who was in the hallway. He was nice and agreed to talk. He told us he had seen some documentaries on the TV that said Jesus had been married and he was not God. He said he didn't believe all that. We decided to get together again and he came. He listened to us carefully. On my way home I was thinking what extraordinary news Florin and the others had heard and yet they did not repent before the Lord. So many people take this great message for granted.
