I've focused mainly on visitation in February. I've made thirteen visits in Alexandria and twenty in Rosiori. I am going to share with you about two visits in Alexandria which were very special. First of all, I visited a family who the husband and wife's names are Margareta and Paul. Although they had been baptized about a year ago, they drew away from God. Paul and Margareta went to Norway last year in order to get a good job that would help them get a house. But they started to make compromises once they got there. Paul could play the guitar and the contrabass so he started to play them on the streets and people would give them money. One day, a well-dressed man came up and told him he would hire his wife to clean up in a restaurant.
He offered a great amount of money in exchange. So both Paul and Margareta took the offer. A few months later, they had the money to buy an apartment in Alexandria and furniture. It was actually Paul who came home and bought the apartment and he left their kids, David and Solomon. Then he went back to Norway. When he got there he realized that the money his wife received was in exchange for immorality. It had been her boss who first made her do that, but afterwards, when she saw how much money she could earn, she herself agreed with the compromise. When Paul found out, he told her he was leaving her and returned to Romania where he filed for divorce. Not being vigilant, worries and compromises led to that situation, but of course, behind everything, it was no one but Satan. Nevertheless, God was still watching over them and didn't allow them to get worse. Paul's wife came back home and both of them called me and asked if I could counsel them (I thank God and the mission board for the Christian counseling book which has been very helpful). During their visit, they told me everything I have just written. I helped them understand that the main cause of their problem was their drawing away from God. Paul understood that in order to get things straight with his wife, he needed to forgive her first and then continue to live together along with their kids and serve God. After praying and crying together, we felt God's power and peace. Relief came upon both of them. Paul told me he made up his mind about divorce. They also started to attend the church and I believe with all my heart that God has brought them back into his family.
A week later, I visited a friend in the hospital, his name is Marmureanu. He was sharing the hospital room with three other men. I asked for their permission to read something from the Bible. I read John 3:16 and I explained how much man needed God's forgiveness. At the end, Marmureanu along with another man, Stelian, received Christ and we (I along with two disciples, Gelu and Iordan) prayed for them. May God's name be glorified in all these things!
