Catalin and his girl friend live in room 5, dorm 8. They're third year students. I asked them if they wanted to get married. That brought up the purity issued. They said they were not really thinking of getting married as they might not be together forever. What kept them together was an immoral relationship. It is amazing that it was more the girl's attitude. While sharing the Gospel with them, I felt in my spirit that they were resisting it. This fact was clearly seen a few days later when they were invited to come to one of our meetings about couple life. In anger, Catalin shouted, "You've been here before, I am not coming anywhere."

A student, Vlad, came to our meetings. He used to have a Pentecostal friend. He had been to church before. During our meeting about couple life, while we were talking in smaller groups, Vlad stood up all of a sudden and said in a loud voice, "I don't agree with what you're saying here". Then, he left the room. Iulian and Ionut went after him and talked to him in the hallway. They found out he was involved in Satanism. He said, "I am disposed to believe more in Satanism than in Christianity.

Satanism is far more valid than Christianity. This God you Christians believe in, his real name is Murdoch according to Satanism. And this Murdoch had been sent by the superior force to save mankind. Satan is at war with him." I told him our God's name was YAHWE and His Son, Jesus Christ. It's more and more likely for students to embrace Satanism.

This is what happens to those who won't believe the truth - 2 Thessalonians 2: 10-12

Stefan studied here in Brasov and has a major in Electronics. He comes from an Orthodox family. He works in telecommunications. He started to attend our meetings with his girlfriend, Alexandra. After a while, he began coming to our youth meetings at church as well. I told them I wanted to get together sometime and talk. He showed up and we talked for about 3 hours and a half. I wanted to see whether he knew God. Sharing God's Word with him, he told me he had accepted Christ when he was 19. Now he is 28. As we were talking I found out he was living in sin with Alexandra. Alexandra started to come to church too.

When I asked him about the purity of his relationship with his girlfriend, he seemed to be bothered by the question. He started to look for excuses and considered himself already married to her. He said it was not very important to have a piece of paper to say you were married. Although I found it hard, God gave me strength to be straight with him. I showed him what the Bible said about knowing God and how he should live. I reminded him 1 John 1:6 which he had heard the day before when we had the youth meeting.

The discussion was tough. I felt his rebellion and knew the truth had bothered him. At the end of our conversation he asked me, "Alex, what's your opinion about me now?" I said, "Stefan, once again I'm gonna be straight with you, I have the feeling that you're trying to hide and excuse your sins . There is forgiveness for the one who truly repents."  I realized he didn't really know God. He has no idea what it means to be a child of God and live a pure life.

I met Iosif a few years ago at a place where they fix computers. He is an engineer. Back then I wanted to share the Gospel with him but it was too crowded and I could only give him and the other guy working there whose name was Alex a New Testament. I had the opportunity to meet him again when I took my computer to have it fixed. God answered my prayer back then. He remembered I had given him a new testament. He told me whenever he went through problems, he would look at the New Testament, but he never read it. He also told me, "the orthodox show God as always angry and ready to punish sins". I told him, "that' s true, God is holy and just and He will punish sinners by sending them straight to hell unless they repent".  I went on telling him about the salvation that is in Christ and how we could reconcile with God, Who is also love. Pray that God will make this man look for Him desperately. I left him my phone number in case he wanted to talk.

Diana and Gabriel are a family who seeks Jesus. I invited them to come to the family Bible studies. They started to come to our meetings in February. Here's what they said, "We thank God for giving us the opportunity to come to these meetings. They help us tremendously in our relationship with our children. They don't do such things in the Orthodox church. We learn a lot of new things here." Both of them are students who have visited our church. God helped me connect with Gabriel, the husband. They also came over to our place.  Step by step God is working in his heart as he has started to come to church too. Only his wife came to church at the beginning.

We have continued the Bible studies for families and youth. Some of our students are involved as well. I am also involved in the church through Bible study on Wednesday nights and have the opportunity to preach the word on Sundays.
