I went with Ionut to visit Dorin in dorm 10. Dorin is from the Republic of Moldova. He told us his family was atheistic. Recently he received Romanian citizenship. He also went to work in America, where he lived at an Adventist family. He liked that family and went with them to church, but he didn't understand anything. He asked us what was the difference between an Adventist and an evangelical. I shared the Gospel with him. At the end I asked him whether he wanted to follow Christ. He told us that he didn't want to give up the pleasures of this world. While we were going to visit Vali, we met Mihai and Claudiu in dorm 9. It was difficult to start a discussion on God. So I prayed and He gave me power to talk boldly. It didn't seem that Mihai was interested in the subject. But then all of a sudden he started to listen to me and said he was confused. He didn't know what to believe about Jesus, whether He was God or not, whether He was married or not. He was inclined to believe He was married. I asked them both whether they were ready to surrender their lives to the Lord. They said no. At the end of our discussion Mihai accompanied me to my car. I gave him a New Testament and a book which demonstrates that Jesus is God. Catalin graduated in Brasov. I gave him a New Testament and a book. He told me, "I am not a religious man. I don't believe orthodox religion is better then others. All religions are good. I believe heaven is here on earth. Maybe we believe that one thing is wrong and it's not." I told him about God's love and the gravity of sin. He said to me, "I don't read the Bible. I am confused. I don't understand it. Actually I believe it's just a book written by men." I tried to show him the Bible was true and it was the Word of God. He paid attention, but he didn't want to meet me for further discussions. I visited Vali who is a first year student. He had been to our Christmas celebration. Our message on the meaning of Christmas touched him. I visited him after the holidays and shared again the Gospel with him. He was more open. He said, "I want to be with God. I want to have God." I asked him whether he was reading the New Testament. He said that he already read half of it. He prayed to receive Christ in his life. We will start a Bible study with him after the mid-terms. While we were talking with Vali, Mihai came in. I told him I wanted to talk to him. He showed me a book of his grandfather, where he was in communist prisons and his belief in God. It's wonderful how God prepares salvation for one. Mihai had read his grandfather's book and was deeply touched and open to hear about God. Please pray that God will continue to prepare his heart for salvation. I met Andrei and his roommate Cristi in dorm 5. When I asked Cristi what God meant to him, he said "God is like my classmates. I do what I want and God does what He wants too." I told him about the broad and wide way in the Bible and where it ends. Then I asked them where they wanted to end up. Cristi answered arrogantly, "you just explained it to me. I choose the broad way that leads to destruction." I am continuing the Bible studies with Silviu and Dan, the students meetings, the missionaries meetings, the youth and families ministries.
