In January we have been working and planning for the evangelistic ski camp we will have durin February 14th-19th. We praise the Lord for the non-Christians who signed up for the camp, either through their Christian colleagues or through the posters or flyers we handed out in the student dorms. Besides the skiing activities we will have at the camp, we will have four evangelistic messages and three Bible studies on various aspects of the Gospel. We desire very much that the non-Christian students will hear, understand and receive the Gospel. We want to witness to them through our lives and a godly community filled with the genuine faith, hope and love that come from the Holy Spirit. We want to tell them that their souls are everlasting and responsible to their holy and just Creator who sent His Son as a propitiation for their souls. We want to urge them to repent of their sins and turn to God, believing that only in Jesus Christ there is forgiveness for their sins. We have had a fasting and prayer chain for the souls of the non-Christians who come to the camp, and we want to ask you to pray together with us.

I am very glad that a recent friend of mine is coming to the Ski Camp. She is a Philosophy student whom I got to know better these last weeks. I think it's quite a miracle we connected again and that she decided to come to the camp. She is an extreme introvert and usually doesn't socialize with anybody, so I wonder sometimes what makes her continue a relationship with me. She loves philosopher Heidegger and is greatly influenced by his ideas. She thinks we are only matter, there is no life after death, and all we have to do in this life is "to live the moment". My heart is burdened when I think of her. I shared my faith with her and she told me she admires my faith in God but she absolutely cannot believe in God, the Bible or Jesus Christ. Even though she sees that we are very different in what we think, it's encouraging to notice that she is still very open to meet and talk to me. I look forward to seeing God's plan with her in the camp and I pray for her soul, that she will be open to the Gospel and let herself be changed by God. I am also very glad that another student (Adi) signed up for the camp. He started to come to our weekly meetings a year ago and last summer he came to the evangelistic English Camp. I had the opportunity to talk to him about his relationship with God and during our first discussion God opened his eyes to see that Jesus is God! When I shared the Gospel with him I didn't know that he thought Jesus was only another human being. At some point he said "I want a relationship with God not with a man", so I explained to him that Jesus is God and we cannot have a relationship with God apart from Jesus. I presented to him the role of every Person in the Trinity in the salvation of men, and he was utterly stunned to hear all of that. It looked like his mind was instantly changed that very moment! He couldn't believe that he went to church all his life and missed that Jesus was God! It was so wonderful to see him afterwards sharing this truth with the mountain rescuers during the hikes. It was really amazing! Still, Adi is not saved, as he also recently acknowledged that in one of our meetings, but he told us "I want to be saved". Please pray for his salvation, that he comes to God in His terms and surrenders his life to Jesus Christ.

In January we had less meetings with the students because they have exams and are studying all day long for their exams. I met with the students who were available to meet with me and with the graduates I used to disciple. I also visited some friends that I cannot see during the busy schedule of the semester. We also continued with our weekly worship meetings and we decided to read and discuss in small groups the first three chapters of the book Justification and Regeneration by Charles Leiter. We can see that these truths are life-changing for the people who have never heard about them, and refreshing and encouraging for the people who are familiar with them. It is wonderful to meditate as a community upon our identity in Christ and His wonderful work on our behalf. Nothing is more desirable to admire and praise than our Lord Jesus Christ. Praise HIM!
