Preaching Activity

The Church in Vurpar, Sibiu

On December 13, I delivered two sermons. The topics were "God's Faithfulness and Our Faithfulness" based on 2 Peter 1:1-11 and "God's Revelation" based on 1 John 1:1-10. There was a reaction in the church because of some of the members' behavior. Therefore, I emphasized the biblical solution for these situations in my sermons. I believe this problem will be solved and those members will be able to join us at the Lord's Supper.

Sion Church, Sibiu

I had two sermons (bible studies) on December 2 and 9. They were based on the First Epistle of Peter 1:1-11. These were my last Bible studies in this church. Due to the church's reanimation we decided the men from the church should continue the Bible study in January 2010. The members of the church said the Bible study that we had gone through in 2009 was spiritually edifying, and they learned new and deep things. I thank the Lord for His help and I pray that He will guide them.

Christian Center, Sibiu

In the Christian Center there is a Christian kindergarten too. Most of the children come from non-Christian families. On December 16, I attended the celebration of the Lord's birth in this kindergarten. I had a short message for the parents.

Bethany Church, Sibiu

I am an elder of this church where I am in charge of the Sunday School program. In December I led the preparations for the celebration of the Lord's birth and I bought gifts for the children.
On December 29, we presented the special worship program in front of the church for an hour. It was a touching event for the children, their parents and the Sunday School teachers.

Didactical Activities

Philadelphia Church, Sibiu

On December 18, I continued the training with the Sunday School teachers from this church. I taught a demonstrative lesson, Elijah and Ahab (Intervention and Guidance) from 1 Kings 17:1-16. I also delivered the lecture "The Cycle of Biblical Teaching". This training that started in September, 2009, is almost finished. It was a successful training and the nine teachers are ready to get involved in the children ministry.

Activities in the Equipping and Edification Program

I continued to study the book "What's So Amazing About Grace" by Philip Yancey. I read, underlined and made an outline for the fourth part of the book. I also posted my answer on the forum for given topic.
