At the beginning of December we had the first baptismal service in our church. A young family decided to get baptized. It was a celebration for our church.
As usual, we organized an evangelistic event on Christmas. Every member invited all his friends to this Christmas evening. We hope the Gospel will change their lives. Although only around ten non-believers came, it was a special event. People were touched and open for continuing their relationship with us. They heard the Gospel and received several Christian materials. A few days before Christmas along with several young people from Bucharest we went caroling. We visited those who were open after the evangelism in Dealu Frumos. This is a village where the Gospel was proclaimed for the first time in November. We wish the Lord would save a family there so we could start regular meetings in that village. The children received gifts on Christmas. They presented a special caroling program in the church service. Some of them came for the first time to an evangelical church. I continued to spend time with Alex and Narcis to study the Scripture. The Word of God touched them and they started to change some things. They gave up attending disco clubs, using bad words and started to pray regularly. Cristina, the teenage girl that had started to come to church had to leave for the United States to join her parents who live there. I continued the children's program each Saturday. Another part of my time was spent visiting my family in the hospital in Bucharest, which is 100 kilometers from Fieni.
