December was a busy month and brought us many joys. We had two major events in town. Actually it was the first time that we managed to give out evangelistic materials in the whole town. The 400th anniversary of Baptist faith in Europe On this occasion we printed 4000 flyers with who we were, what we believed and an invitation to this event. We also posted two banners in town. Our church is well known now. God gave us a good result. The biggest hall in town was filled. The audience heard the Gospel and another message that urged them to read the Word of God. This message was delivered by a Christian national TV newsman and another pastor. Also my brother, Slavic V. sang with a group and our church's orchestra. The secretary of the city hall had a short message at the beginning of the event. She appreciated our church. We have been encouraged through that presentation. After that event I started to pray more for the secretary's salvation. Please pray that the Lord will touch her family as well. We also had a Christmas carol concert in the middle of December. We gave out thousands of invitations and posted a banner. This time even more people came. Our mandolin orchestra sang again and I preached the Gospel. We also invited a choir from Bucharest who sang several carols. We were glad to see people that we had invited and others that we didn't know. I praise the Lord for this opportunity to proclaim the Gospel. We pray to harvest the fruits this year. We already have some signs of that. We managed to get in touch with several families that we didn't know. These evangelistic events gives us new contacts, relationships and the possibility to visit them at home. We already started to visit them. We organized an evangelistic outreach in Magura as well. The school's principal allowed us to use the school's gym. Around 100 non-believers came. The principal's daughter, who is a teenager, is also interested in the Bible. We pray to have a good harvest in this village this year. We are facing a problem in this village. Our gathering hall is in the courtyard of a man who is not a testimony for Christ. He is an alcoholic and claims to be a Christian. The only solution would be to rent a new place. Please pray for this. So far the children ministry suffers the most because of this situation. Testimonies Due to my co-worker's personal testimony, his future sister-in-law started to come to church. Her name is Ileana and she has become a Christian. God worked wonderfully in her life and she is really trying to follow the Lord. She comes regularly to church and participates in the program. Pray that her future husband, Claudiu, will come to the Lord as well. Due to Adi's testimony, a young man that recently became a member of our church, his brother started to attend the church. Pray for Marius. He had attended another evangelical church, but after a while, he gave up. Now he is interested in knowing Jesus. We are praying for their parents too. During our last visit they were open to come to church. I believe Adi's testimony honors the Lord.
