By God's grace I've been in Macedonia for a week. I was invited to partcipate in an evangelistic campaign for Muslim Gypsies. It's been a good experience for me to be able to share the Word with others and to see how God can work in the hearts of these people.
During the week, we visited three big neighborhoods where there were many gypsies. I was glad to work with the missionaries there who had left their country. We got to meet other missionaries who were involved in that ministry. They worked mostly on the social side as they have a soup kitchen where they provide a meal for 300 kids each day. Twice a week, they also work with the Gypsy ladies by teaching them to sew, read and write. We decided to go out as three teams among the gypsies. We were very welcomed by them even though they had a different nationality and religion. They agreed with everything we told them.

During the day we would go down to the market place to share the Word with them (many of them were merchants). In the evening, they were invited to come to our church services. We had the privilege to be invited to their places and tell them the gospel. We met families who were open for discussions, but others said they believed in the Koran. We saw God's hand working that week during our evangelistic campaign.

We also met a very receptive Gypsy family. A 23-year old young woman had the right half of her body paralyzed. When she heard the Word of God and what He could do in the lives of people, she prayed to accept Christ. She had been married before and had a three year old little girl. After she became paralyzed, she had to go through three surgeries in order to be kept alive. Her husband left her during those hard times and took their daughter with him. I could see sadness and bitterness on her face. All the time we were there, she never missed a service despite her serious troubles. Since she accepted Christ, we could see the change in her life. She said whe wanted to walk with the Lord no matter what. I want to ask you to pray for this young woman to continue have a good testimony in her family.

We also visited another place where there were many Gypsies, most of them were from all over Europe. There were about 50,000 Gypsies living in this town called Sutka. We had the privilege to share the gospel there as well. We would walk down the streets singing Christian songs. Many of them gathered around us and sang along. Then we share the Word of God with them. We faced opposition too, there were some Gypsy people who came and told us that they had a different religion, but afterwards they stayed and listened to what we were saying. During our stay there, people shared their life stories with us. They were having problems with the government. We had the nice surprise to see that all the people we had invited to come to the church services showed up.

It is God's grace to have a church service in a predominantly Muslim country. God touched the hearts of many people during those days. We delievered the message of salvation every night as 40-50 people would attend our church. The local missionaries were very impressed with the wonderful way God's Spirit worked. We had some people to watch whenever we had a church service as we didn't want to have any trouble with the local police.

I would like you to pray for the people who heard the Gospel.
