The children from the local area continue to come to my home. In spite of the fact that children are now back at school the numbers have grown.

I am happy with the development of the women's meetings as they are finding the meetings a blessing to them. I am pleased to report that our church is seeing a few more new faces each week as a result of the past few months of outreach. The key is to hold true to these people and pray continually that they do not slip back into their worldly ways. During the month of September we had several groups from the States and Romania. We worked closely together going to towns and villages with the good news and had some very encouraging encounters with young and old people. So many are open to the Word with their minds, but it's much harder to reach their hearts and souls - that's where we have to really work even harder than normal. I have made friends with all those from the various groups who have come to help us.

One women from Texas named Cindy really touched my heart with her passion for the lost. She and I visited a few homes and met people in great need of Christ. One family truly touched us. The family consists of a husband and wife and three young children. Sadly, both parents are alcoholics. Because of this serious drinking problem within their family they all live in unimaginable poverty. The mother of the family was indifferent when given our invitation to come to church, but she did listen to the word. The father looked embarrassed that his family had to live in such a way and said he would like to come to church one day. We went to pick him up more than once, but he never seemed to be at home. But praise God he came to our house and went to church today. He was most attentive and expressed his joy at hearing the Lord's Word. Please pray for Mihai and his family that the Lord will break the sin that keeps them in bondage.

Isn't our God great !!!  I also had the joy in September of working with another group of youth from America. They too had a real heart for the children here and came to the house to play, teach and be a blessing to the children. Please pray for the works in Draganesti Olt, Coman and the other area of Oltenia where we work.
