This year we had twelve students that graduated. They had been involved in our missionary activities. Truly this is such a beautiful picture of the celebration of the Christian life! As there comes a day for a graduating student who sees his work complete and rejoices over it. The joy of this day is related to the faithfulness of the student's years. As a Christian, there will come a day when we celebrate with the Lord Jesus and rejoice over our current faithfulness.

God uses us in the lives of the students' parents too. Most of our students do not have Christian parents. They come to the graduation. We meet them and they appreciate that we helped their children to grow and to make good decisions.

Even though they are not Christians they appreciate the work that the Lord performs in their children's hearts. We want you to know that you are a part of this joy and restoration work that the Lord performs in their hearts. Through your partnership the Lord uses all of us for His glory. He will show His glory through the lives of these young people. Thank you and we know that the Lord is pleased too.

May 1 is an off day in Romania. There is a tradition on this day. People have a barbecue. We invited our students and other students and have a time of gathering outside the city. We went to the Green Forest. All week it had rained. The weathermen announced that it would rain on May 1 too, but we prayed and organized the gathering by faith. Indeed, the Lord gave us good weather. It was a wonderful day that was full of love, encouragement, joy, good cheer, etc. There were 37 people who came. Some of the students were non-Christians. We had the opportunity to share the grace of the Lord Jesus with them. There were also three Indian students (two of them were Hindus and one Buddhist).

We want to tell you about Marian. He is well now and got out of the hospital. He lives with a Christian family who takes care of him. He studies for his exams. We hope he will get through these exams.

Through God's grace Marian attended the conference too. There were around fifteen students. The purpose was to encourage them. We also wanted to help them to form a nucleus for the Lord to work through. We had the following messages: "I left home for being free from sin, knowing the Father's love for me, being studious and being a blessing for others." The conference was a blessing for me and for them. We didn't leave Timisoara, but we put uptents in somebody's courtyard and spent two days in discussions, prayer, encouragement, and songs around a camp fire. One of the students wrote me a letter about those twodays and how much it meant to him. His name was Dennis, who was a fourth year student. "It was such an awesome event to get together because it had been a very long time since I was in a place where my mind was not wandering about other things in the world. ...... Now I am back home writing this e-mail and feeling rather sad that this event was over so soon.  The work that you all do is way above verbal appreciation ... I take my hat off to all of you who think and care so dearly about us (the students) .... It feels like such a huge FAMILY out here in Romania when we are all together ... Its so nice of you all once again... Thank you all so much from the very depths of my heart ... GOD BLESS YOU ALL ABUNDANTLY ... Love Dennis!!!"

The HeartCry Students Conference

We organized a students conference this year for going into greater depths of the Scripture. This year we had two speakers, Charles L. and Ryan F. It was a great blessing and the Lord brought forth fruit. We had five students from Hungary who traveled for hundreds of kilometers to be with us. They were noble people. Our students made friends with them and exchanged e-mail addresses. We thank all those who worked to bless us. Also there were non-Christians students too. Claudia C., a special girl who loves the mission, invited her non-Christian roommate. The message was good for her. A week after the conference she came to the baptismal service where a student of ours was baptized. The preacher called all those who wanted to be committed to her with the Lord. She said that she desired that. We see how the Lord works through all of us. One breaks the ground, one sows the seed and another one harvests, but in all these things the Lord works through all of us.

There was also two Indian students who came to the conference. It meant a lot to them. One of them was Ajay, who is a 3rd year student. He came from a Catholic family.

Please pray with us:
- for placing our dependence in Him for all our activities
- for the Lord to work in the hearts of those 240 students that came for the "Jesus" movie;
- for the May 8-9 conference for international students, we saw some fruit
- for our disciples to bring fruit in Christ
- that the Lord will search the hearts of the students who heard the Gospel;
- for Bogdan who got baptized on May 31, he was a testimony for other students
- the students conference on May 15-16 with the HeartCry speakers
- for the summer projects in Craiova and Fagaras.
