I would like to share with you a few things that happened in the ministry in Pucioasa. As you already know, for three months now our church has been developing a project with young people that had lived in orphanages. For different reasons they didn't fit in the society. Some of them suffer from different diseases and some are healthy. I personally go to see them every week and have a Gospel sermon. Last month the Lord gave me the opportunity to share the Gospel with a lady that I met there. She had suffered from a brain problem. It was a miracle that she was still alive. The physicians recommended that she quit her work for stopping other complications. So she retired and is now completely healthy. Sometimes I feel that I have to highlight this aspect because we minister to people in a crisis center. Seldom do I see such a thirst for God! Please pray for this lady. She needs the Holy Spirit's enlightenment. I also met there a 23 years old boy, Ionut. He takes evening classes to finish high school. I told him about the Lord. I believe He is working in the heart of this boy. I see how the Lord reaffirms His calling in this ministry. I believe that the Lord brought us in Ionut's life for a while. I found out wonderful things. I learned that He had heard about the Lord before. He told me several things that He remembered. Please pray that Ionut will find some time (He will take the final exams soon) to continue to study the Scripture together. Also please pray that He will know the Lord as a Savior. Although I rejoice over several things regarding Ionut, I believe he needs our prayers to be protected from the evil one's plans who would like to stop this ministry. Adi is another boy that I evangelized this month. He is 26 and has a mother and sister who are Christians. His mother died two years ago. I believe that he is angry against God because of that experience. He had attended the church till he was 8. After that he put the Lord out of sight and he even fought against Him. Several circumstances have brought us together lately and opened him up to become friends. We have been spending more time together. The Lord gave me the opportunity to be a testimony to him. I have urged him to trust the Lord Jesus for his salvation. Adi is so close to the kingdom of God, but he desperately needs His grace! Please keep him in your prayers! Sometime ago I met a former sports teacher whose name is Dragomir. One of the members of the church had met him at the sport's field and invited him to the church where we met. We met several times at the church or at my home. I shared the Gospel with him and he has a special interest in the Christian teaching. He is an intellectual man. I am afraid that he will only acquire knowledge. This man needs the light of the Gospel. I can say that the church is becoming his "element". He comes to our meetings, but he is not born again. I fear for those who believe "for a while". Please pray that it will not be the case with this man. Recently I have proclaimed Christ to my neighbor, Florin. He is a man that lives with his son. His wife left to work abroad. The Lord opened this door for me. For such a long time I prayed for him!. I am so grateful to God for this opportunity! We spent a wonderful time together and he has heard about God's love for him. I invited him to church and he accepted the invitation. Please pray that he will be true to his words. Some of the people that we evangelize come to visit our church. This is an opportunity for them to hear the Gospel again, to know the baptist community from Pucioasa and to give up their preconceptions. It was a pleasant surprise to see the mother of some children that I met in 1998. I started the ministry through them. Regrettably, I couldn't talk to her, because she got a call during the service and had to leave. Please pray that the Lord will bring her again or I will meet her sometime.
