The month of May began with an evangelistic ministry in the area of Moldova Noua. Adrian J. with a team from Paducah, and the youth pastor from Friendship Baptist Church, visited a few missions of HeartCry and others that he has personally helped. I was on this trip with Adrian because he always requested that I help him in his trips to Romania. We have spent a week of ministry in the area of Moldova Noua. I took the opportunity to visit our missionary Zoran M. and spend a few days with him and his family. We returned from Serbia for a youth meeting where I translated for the pastor that came with Adrian. We had a great weekend of serving at a baptism service. The next event in May was a series of three student conferences. Charles L., Ryan F., and Lance (a disciple of Ryan) came for the student conferences. The first conference took place in Brasov, where Alex P. organized a conference with students from Brasov, |Suceava, Sibiu, and Bacau. We had around fifty students attend this conference. The theme of this conference was "The Law of Christ". Both Charles and Ryan lectured on this important theme. We continued our trip visiting two churches on Sunday morning (May 10). These are two Bretheren churches that I want to help in terms of good and consistent preaching. The second service took place at Holy Trinity Baptist Church in Bucharest, where Ryan F. preached and Charles introduced his book. The second conference took place in Bucharest. I experienced a great surprise. Because the conference took place at the begining of the week, I thought we would not have a good attendance. But contrary to my expectations we had between 150-200 students in attendance. I realized that HeartCry has a great impact on the lives of the students. The third conference was in Timisoara. We had less students (around 60), because of a major Christian event that took place in the city of Timisoara. However, the conference had a great impact on the lives of those that came. Their comments and questions revealed a great interest for deep knowledge in the Word of God. Many students were freed from the fears they had as they listen to the lectures on the Law of Christ. At the end of this conference tour we were in the west, so I decided to visit once again the town of Moldova Noua and the village of Coronini. In the afternoon we crossed the border into Serbia to preach in the church of Kovin, where our brother Zoran M. planted a church. After this long trip, I had a break of about a week. I went to visit my mother in Transylvania and helped her with some paper work. Being in my home area, I was invited to preach in a couple of churches and at a wedding. I preached in the First Baptist Church and Grace Evangelical Church. Then I had the opportunity to preach in two other churches from the villages of Salaj country. I had with me a large team of teenagers and some of their parents, as we visited those churches. The time with the teenagers was just great. They were blessed to spend this time with me and sing, and hear the preaching. We also had a picnic where we had time for closer fellowship. I had a few meetings with some of God's ministers in the area. It was a good time of edification in the Lord, as we discussed about the progress of their ministries. I was also glad to meet some of my old friends and fellowship with them. There were friends from my school and high school when we suffered persecution together under communism. The last week of May we scheduled a mission tour with Bro. Don and Cindy C. They came to visit a few of the HeartCry missions prior to a series of three conferences at the beginning of June. We began our tour by travelling to Brasov to spend two days with Alex and Simona P. We had a good time with Alex and saw the minsitry with the students. It was a good ocassion to meet a small group of students that came for a meeting at the University where Don C. lectured on relationships. We stayed till late in the evening because the students had all kind of questions. It looked like the topic had great success. We continued the tour by visiting the missions from Pucioasa and Fieni. We had a meeting with the ministry team on Friday night, then a youth ministry on Saturday night, while Cindy had a meeting with the women. Sunday we served at both missions from the area of Dimbovita. Sunday night we traveled to visit another mission team that is situated in the southern part of Romania, namely the team from Deaganest Olt. We met Raul C., the coordinator of the team, and had a good meeting with all the HeartCry missionaries that are supported by the ministry. Continue to pray for the work of church planting and evanglelism that is taking place in this part of the world. We are thankful for your support, both in prayer and financially. We appreciate the love you show in so many ways. May the Lord reward you richly.
