Preaching Activity

"Bethany" church in Sibiu

I delivered two sermons (Bible studies) on July 2 and 16. The subjects were from Romans 15: 22-33 and James 1:1-4. The studies pointed out aspects of the order within the church. It regarded the spiritual discipline that came from the acceptation of the authority, starting within the family. I noticed that the people were touched by the Bible studies. On July 30th I conducted the basic teaching course and explained the Scriptures.

"Sion" church in Sibiu

I delivered five sermons (Bible studies) from Romans 15:22-33 (Work according to a plan), Romans 16:1-27 (Work with a team) and James chapter 1 (Accept God's authority, Overcome the trials, Overcome the temptations) on July 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. Each time I noticed an interest in the subject. I tried to emphasize the applications of the Word for solving conflict within the church. They are far from making up, but there is still hope.

"Emanuel" church from Rosia (Rothberg), Sibiu county

I preached three times on July 19 and 26. The texts were from Revelation 3:1-7 (God expects us to be perfect), Matthew 5:1-12 (5 principles from the sermon on the mountain), Philippians 4:4-8 (The biblical solution for our worries). I covered for the pastor that was gone with a team to Germany to help with the construction of a Romanian church in Schwabach (Nurnberg). The members were convicted by the Holy Spirit.

The church in Vurpar (Burgberg) village, Sibiu county

I delivered four sermons. On July 5, I delivered two sermons, one in the morning and one in the evening. The subjects were from Revelation 3:1-7 (God expects us to be perfect), 2 Peter 1:3-11 (The resources for perfection). In the morning I also gave Lord's Supper. On July 19 I delivered two sermons, in the morning and in the evening. The subjects were from Philemon 4-6 (The fruitful faith) and James 1:1-4 (Accept God's authority and all the other authorities).
For the moment this church does not have a pastor. I was asked by the church and appointed by the Baptist Community to serve the Lord's Supper and to edify the church through the Word. I am welcomed each time. I am encouraged to minister joyfully to this church.

Didactical Activities

The Sunday School Teachers College

On July 27-30 we organized the finals. There were students from Bucharest, Sibiu, Aiud, Hunedoara, Cristian and Gura Raului villages. The subjects were: The Study of the Old Testament, The Study of the New Testament, Systematic Theology, and The Teaching Methods. There were teachers from the Baptist Seminary in Bucharest. The finals took place in "The peace" missionary society in Selimbar village, Sibiu county. During the finals I was the principal and the registrar of the school. I also taught the subject "The Teaching Methods". All the students graduated successfully. I am pleased with all the Sunday school teachers that we had this year. They are ready to minister to their churches and to the children.

Activities in the Equipping and Edification Program

I studied the book "Justification and Regeneration" by Charles Leiter. I read and emphasized the whole book. I did the outline for chapters 8-11, pages 71-98. I also posted on the forum the answer to the material read in June. I entitled my answer: "The regeneration's analogies".
