July has been a very busy month of intense ministry and "intense rest." I say intense rest because I planned to go and rest for a week, but I had to get into the "intensive" mood, which meant three full days.

I started this month serving with a team of 32 Americans from the Harvest Bible Church in Houston, TX. They had come for a major evangelistic outreach in Pucioasa and Fieni with two of the HeartCry ministries. The team was split into smaller teams that worked with the Awana program for children, street evangelism, and construction on the building. The Awana teams worked in two different locations, having around 70 children in Pucioasa and around 50 in the city of Fieni. They worked for four days, and the results were phenomenal.

The evangelistic teams were on the streets sharing Bibles, brochures, and speaking with people about salvation. When the children teams finished their time, they joined the evangelistic teams and did street outreach. The construction team has built the second level of the chapel from Fieni and the roof.

I have been involved in all these departments of work, helping on all three fronts. The presence of this large group in Fieni and Pucioasa made a huge difference. The impact was very good, and the teams from the two cities will continue the follow-up.

After this time of evangelistic work, I went up in the mountains to rest for a few days. My desire was to go for a week, but I had to limit my time in the mountains as I promised to go and preach in Rimnicu Sarat. The three days in the mountains were a real blessing. I was alone, sleeping in the car, and enjoying the beauty of the Carphatian Mountains. I read two books, I read my Bible and I prayed a lot. It is such a blessing to retreat from the busyness of life to the Lord, to seek His face, and rest in the Spirit! After this time, I went to preach in Rimnicu Sarat, and spent some time with Cosmin and Cristina, the missionary couple in this city. After that weekend we left for a trip to Transylvania where we visited a few churches and families. We spent just a few days in each place. I served in the churches in Cosbuc and Zalau.

The last tour before returning to the USA for school was with a couple from the States, Susan and Travis. Travis was my class mate at Southern Seminary and presently a PhD student of Boston University and Conwell College. He came with his wife Susan to visit Romania and get an insight into the reality of missions in my country. We visited a few missions where Travis spoke: Rimnicu Sarat, Pucioasa, Fieni, Brasov. We spent time with our missionaries, and encouraged them as we travelled to visit those places. We also prayed together that God will bring more souls to salvation. This is our aim, and our goal as the servants of God in this land. Please pray for us, to continue to stay in the battle and to win the war for the Kingdom.
