Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus! In my time with the Lord I studied the shepherd and the flock. I discovered profound and beautiful things, but admonitions too. There is written over 500 times in the Bible about the shepherd and the flock. It is obvious that the biblical example for spiritual leadership is the Shepherd and the Flock. It is wonderful to see the Lord as the Great Shepherd! His heart is dedicated to His flock,... " He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters..." Psalm 23. The good Shepherd gave His life for His sheep! His sheep know His voice and follow Him. Accordingly, we have to act as a shepherd in our family, at work, in church etc. Ezekiel 34:2,4,5 are admonitions against the shepherds who forget their flock. Peter too writes about the way one has to act as a shepherd, "Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind. Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fades not away." God, please help us to be conformed to your image! The Student Ministry

The ministry is advancing through the Lord's hand and grace! The Gospel is proclaimed and the students are growing spiritually. The Lord gave us many opportunities in the spring of 2009. In Romania we celebrated Easter on April 19. Before Easter the Lord gave us the amphitheater of the West University in Timisoara for broadcasting "Jesus' Life" movie. There were over 240 students. Many years ago while watching for the first time the "Jesus" movie I realized the Lord's suffering and love for me. Marian, an Indian student, who is in his second year, had an accident. The Lord preserved his life! He could have died, but he only has a broken leg. His recovery has been difficult. It was a searching moment for the international students. I met many of them. We decided to take a trip on May 8-9. We hope to have around 30 people.

Please pray for Marian as his situation is still difficult. It was during the night while he was alone when the accident occurred. The witnesses said that he didn't walk on the zebra crossing. Marian had been unconscious, but later on he remembered that he had walked on the zebra crossing. The police didn't interrogate him. He is a foreign citizen and it is easy to stretch the truth. May the Lord sift out the true from the false! He needs to make an commitment to school. He is still hospitalized and he will not be able to attend school for six more weeks. We hope he will not have to repeat the school year. His family is worried about him. I talked to them and his mother suffers from depression. It is difficult to talk to her. She has suffered from depression before. We hope that the Lord will transform this tragedy into a blessing. Marian is an example for his two roommates and for all his schoolmates. Many times we prayed for Marian. I talked about Jesus with one of Marian's roommates. He met with an accident too when he was 17.

Family

The modern society doesn't give us too many choices. We have to work hard to satisfy the
standards. The children must have a high standard of education. Flavius will take his examinations for German, Romanian and Mathematics. May the Lord help him to know the Lord better in all these circumstances. Rebeca is more relaxed because she is only in the 4th grade. On Easter we travelled to my parents. My grandmother is 87 and she is still healthy. She remembers many stories from her life. She is a widow since she was 33, when my grandfather died in Russia in1944 during the World War II. We spent a wonderful time with my family. My sister is married and has two children. Her husband,Vasile, is 48. He has been diagnosed with colon cancer. His recovery has been difficult. May the Lord have mercy on them. They do not know the Lord. Our desire is that they will find salvation through these difficult circumstances.
