The youth ministry is a wellspring. There are many ideas to put into effect. But all my efforts will be inefficient if the Holy Spirit does not work in the hearts of the young people. The Lord is showing me more and more the importance of the prayer for the those whom I minister.

Every Monday I have a Bible study of spiritual growth on John's Gospel with a group of 15 young people (who are also the nucleus of our ministry). We have looked at Jesus' relation with the disciples. We learn how to become followers of the Lord Jesus and also how to challenge others to become followers with us. Actually this is a preparation time for those who want to minister. They learn to make disciples. Some young people already have disciples. I wish this vision will become an undertaking of wide scope.

Besides the Bible study I also have counselling meetings with some of the young people where I encourage them. I help them to make some difficult decisions, but needful for their spiritual growth. One example is a person who neglected the fellowship within the church. I also helped another person to break the habit of having inappropriate discussions on messenger with a person of the opposite sex. I was personally challenged to answer one of the concerns of the youth nowadays.

Every week I also meet for counselling with some of the youth that want to get married. I appreciate them because they understood the importance of these meetings. They are happy to be informed about relationships. I pray for Gheorghe and Aliona and Slavic and Elena to be blessed in this time of edification for marriage.

Another element of the ministry is the Saturday evening meeting. We used to invite students and non-Christians high-school students. Every program has a distinctive subject which leads to a Christian message. At the end of the program there is the opportunity to receive Jesus or to dedicate one's life to God. There was a girl that attended the Saturday evening meetings for some time. This month she started attending church on Sundays and Monday meetings. We pray for this girl that the Lord may guide her.

Many new young people come to these Saturday evening meetings. Although they come only once or twice, we are happy for giving them the chance to hear the Gospel and to know there is group of young people that live a different life and have different principles in our town. In the past 2 years the Lord saved Pavel, Eugen and 2 other teenagers that minister with us now. Also, other friends of them attend our meetings.

The youth are always welcomed in our home. We spend time within our family with them. We have discussions to encourage them. We noticed that their presence within a Christian family clarifys their vision about life with God. We pray that God will use this time beyond our expectations.
