We had a counseling conference at our church and seventy people attended. Twelve of them were from our church. We were challenged to seek God's answers to problems.
The home groups are going well. We have nine of them now. Six new people joined us. God is at work among us and in us. I visited other groups to see how they were doing. I was happy to see new people involved in this ministry.
We are glad we can have an inductive Bible study about how to have a healthy family. It is very good both for the single people and the ones that are married. Each of them has to work at home as well. We have good talks when we get together as we talk about the problems we face and pray for one another. It is good to know our needs and pray specifically.
Irina and another group of ladies helped sister Elena while she was in the hospital. Three other ladies from the church, Dorina, Nadia and Olga visited Maria A.i who broke her leg. They helped her rent a good apartment because hers needed repair work.
The group of leaders keep a record of each group member's birthday, pray for them and give them a little gift.
The Wednesday women's group is getting bigger. There are more than ten now and both Nadia and Veronica realize they have to split up the group. That means Nadia will be looking for another co-leader and Veronica will be the leader for the second group. She will have tol find someone to help her too.
Like every new activity we may get too comfortable after a while. We must keep in mind that the goal of the home groups is not our comfort but a place to know more about Him, to be changed and then bring other people along.
