We had the opportunity to celebrate Christmas once again according to the old calendar. So we went caroling again in Filipeni. We had a short presentation of the gospel with the more than 60 people that we visited. We left them a brochure about the Christmas story.

A new family started to come to church this month. Although Ruslan and Svetlana have been married for three years, they only had the city hall ceremony. Now they want to have a church ceremony and receive God's blessing. I was happy to give them counseling to draw closer to God. We'll have the church ceremony on January 30. When counseling them, I was also helped by another family, Ruslan and Veronica. They help me with the young families.
Regarding my preaching, God led me to study the prominent characters of the Bible with the whole church.

Beginning on January 19 we made up cell groups of 6-10 people. There are six groups so far with the intention of having two more. It is a blessing for me to see six other people leading the groups. We are organized on age groups, men and women.  Each leader has the responsibility to look for other people who would be interested in coming to that specific group. We'll get together with all the groups once a month and each group will take turns to serve the others.
