We continued last year's activity into this year. We studied lessons 1 through 4 and will continue with lessons 5 and 6 these coming weeks.  These lessons are only for coaches and the ones who want to become one. As for the sportsmen, they have already been through the Bible study book and we will only get a thorough review. Gelu and Anatol will help as Gelu will be teaching Ivan's group and Anatol Sergiu's.

We had a short vacation after New Years until the kids went back to school. We started to practice again. The purpose was to get ready for a local competition. Seventy three people participated in this contest. Eighty more people were present who were either parents or friends. I gave Sergiu D.  and other trainers the opportunity to organize this event. I only helped a little. It was not only good for me but him as well. It will help him become more experienced.

We split the sportsmen in three groups so that they could all participate. I delivered a message from John 3:16. It was entitled "The Love of God and the Power of Jesus". I talked about the love we should have following God's example and about His power and generosity when He sent His Son as a sacrifice for our sins. I told them that all the people were in search of high positions and fame, but we were supposed to learn from God that the true power meant giving.  The sportsmen and their friends heard the message. People who want to become coaches helped as well. Some had the opportunity to work as referees.

Stefan V., one of the coaches, decided to pursue a military career. Some of the people that were in his group had to join other groups. He didn't leave anyone else to fill his position so I took everything as coming from the Lord.

We made two groups of children, one for kids younger than 10, and the other for children between  11 and 14 years of age. It works better this way. I decided to appoint three people to work with them who are potential leaders, Marc N., Igor M. and Eugen B.. Eugen became a Christian last summer and he's been coming to church ever since. They all help me with one of the groups. This way I can practice with each group in turns.
