I wish you many blessings and God's grace for this new year!

God worked in an extraordinary way here in Anenii Noi this month. After the Christmas holidays, we had the opportunity to visit another village where there was no evangelical church and have a Christmas carols program there. The mayor asked a pastor from a different village to bring a group of youth and go caroling at the Cultural Hall. They were having a Christmas program there. But that pastor asked us to come along because there were not many young people there.

We were able to go and sing several carols. We were surprised to see how cold it was inside as it had no heating system. Around 100 people came. The lady mayor was happy and invited us to come next year. It's been a real blessing considering that no evangelistic activities have been allowed there so far.

We had the opportunity to go caroling in a village where we have one of our missions. We went there on January 7th when they officially celebrate Christmas in Moldova. We were able to visit many houses and tell people about the birth of the Savior. People are generally hostile to visits, but Christmas is a special time and they gladly received us and listened to the songs about His birth. God deserves all the glory for all the opportunities He gives!

We managed to finish the Bible study we had started with the family from the other village. This study has been a blessing for both them and us. The family is made up of brother Dumitru, his wife, Liuba, and their five grandchildren. They raise the children because their parents are either in jail or gone to Russia for work. One of their daughters lives with them also and is the mother of two of these kids. They also have a son who is divorced who lives with them.

We first started to visit this family in April of 2010. We noticed they were interested in the Word of God. Then I started a Bible study based on the book, For Your Joy by John Piper. It gave us the opportunity to present the gospel. Following this study, they wanted to study more. We decided to start another study about the basic elements of the Christian life. They began to attend the church services on Sunday mornings. Eventually, they gave their lives to Christ. They now come to all the services, even the ones for prayer. It is a great joy to see their two children coming to church. They come to the Sunday services and youth meetings. I have seen God working in this family. Praise His name! Continue to pray for them to grow in faith and their knowledge of God.

We started to meet again with the youth on Friday nights. We also had our first English lesson class. We hope to be able to have more students in February. Pray for this evangelistic project to be efficient and bear fruit for the Kingdom.
