We had several events here last month. After several months of preparation, we finally had the conference about the Value of Life. We had around 160 young people from all over the area. The situation in our country provides a good environment for human traffic and many young people are victims of this phenomenon.  We were happy to have the opportunity not only to prevent but to have Jesus' attitude in this matter. Instead of judging them, we should look for solutions and provide help.

Andrei and Maria got married on the 18th of April. They had taken several sessions on premarital counseling and support. We were happy to witness the event. I officiated the wedding. They have come a long ways but we believe it was all worth it. Maria spent a lot of time with our family as she does not have parents. We offered her shelter and did our best to be her family especially before the wedding.

Another event was on the 20th of April. I had helped with forming a mandolin orchestra. We wanted to be able to play a song for Easter. We were able to do that on Wednesday when we had communion. They learned to play the mandolin in a month and a half. We thought their parents would come but they did not show up. Only Nicoleta's mother came. We had a wonderful time that night. I had tried to share the gospel with this lady several times. Nicoleta had also prayed that her mother would come to church. After the church service, she wanted to go straight home but I invited her to stay a little longer and talk over tea and cookies (our church organized this time as well). She eventually agreed and I had a half an hour to share the gospel with her. She was a little resistant at the beginning, saying that the Bible was hard to understand and it took time to do that. She was also confused because of all the denominations. She reassured me that she had her own faith. When I heard that statement, I had even more arguments to present her the truth. I was happy to hear her say that she would go home with a better understanding about faith and God. We pray that God will complete the salvation work in this woman's life.

My wife Olga and I went to visit an elementary school here during the Passion Week. We told them the Easter Story.  The principal of the school was there with us in every classroom. The kids heard the gospel and about the resurrection of the Lord. While Olga was showing them pictures, I helped with either playing the guitar or with crafts.

My home church from Branza invited me to preach on Easter morning. I believe God spoke through me in spite of my tiredness. A young lady made the decision to receive Christ.
