The last month of the year is usually one of the best. It is a time when we have so many reasons to proclaim Christ as Messiah to many people. We had several opportunities to proclaim the gospel both to the sportsmen, their friends and their parents.

We had an event called "The Christmas Practice". All the sportsmen were challenged to attend. Their parents had the opportunity to see what their children had been doing. We had demonstrations of their sport skills and gave presents to the children. These presents were provided by the Samaritan's Purse organization through our church. During the practice, I told them how our regular Bible study  had changed my life. Some of the kids proved to be very diligent with their Bible study lessons. Olga, our Sunday school teacher, had a Christmas story for the little children. Although they were pretty noisy, she managed to get their attention. Then they became anxious to receive the presents. I was very happy to see the seed of the Word being planted. At the end, Olga had some very good questions such as, "What will you do with God's Christmas gift?" Then they all received the presents and afterward that I gave the parents a piece of paper with their child's sport results. The parents were very appreciative about what we had been doing for their children, they were even sorry they hadn't supported our efforts as they should have. Around 80 people attended this event.

The second event was the examination of 56 sportsmen. With their parents we had 120 people there. That was another opportunity for them too see our attitude when examining their children. They could also be with their children when they had to answer the questions from the Bible study  lessons they had to do at home. We had helped them with the first lessons. Afterward, if they needed help, they had to ask their parents which was another way to plant the seed of the Word in their families. We had special training for the ones who wanted to get their II Dan Black Belt. Twelve people are training themselves to get it. Three of them will take this test in the summer and the others a month later. We used the same Bible study manual I have used for the ones who got their color belts. Because they hadn't attended this Bible study, we could start the study called "Do you want to become Jesus' disciple". It is a good study which has some very good lessons about the life of the Lord.
