God blessed both our regular activities and the special ones we had this month.

Regarding the youth ministry, we visited another church and had a singing program there. We sang two songs. We won't be able to forget that night because after the church service one of our cars broke down and it was snowing outside. Praise the Lord that we fixed it quickly enough to make it home safe and sound.

Our regular meetings this month were mostly about the preparation of the Christmas program. We actually got together more often than usual. We learned new carols and rehearsed others. We managed to have a wonderful holiday program.

I felt very blessed to attend the HeartCry conference that took place in Cahul. The topics were very important and we were blessed with consistent spiritual food from the Word. I thank God for this opportunity. I am always happy when I can spend the whole day involved in spiritual activities.

As for the evangelistic visits this month, besides the regular visit to Ruseni. we had the opportunity to visit a family from our town twice. Their kids usually come to our center. The family is a very poor.  Victoria, the mother, raises her three children (two girls and a boy) with her mother who is retired. Her husband is an alcoholic and works in Russia. He only sent $80.00 to his family over the year. Victoria told her how hard it was without her husband's support. At least she has a job at the bakery by which she can provide for her children. I asked her how they heated their home. She told me they had been without the gas system for two years. They were not able to buy wood either. Because of this she had to go to in the woods and get branches to light a small fire in the stove. We are happy that both Victoria and her children attend our church services whenever they can. Sometimes she has to work the night shift. One time we made an announcement about some mail Bible courses provided by a mission board in Chisinau. After the church service, she came to me and told me she would like to take these courses. I helped her enroll and her first textbook has already been sent to her. May God bless this family. I hope they'll get to know God because He is the source of all joy during of times of hardship.

A very important event was the Christmas celebration. It is a wonderful holiday that brings us joy and reminds us of the glorious night when the Son of God became human so He could ransom mankind. We had invited several people to come on this special occasion. We used to mail the invitations to people but this time we delivered them ourselves. Several church members delivered the invitations to specific neighborhoods. I spent three days walking in order to find the right addresses. It's been pretty tiring but it was all worth it. We were happy to see new people and pray that God would be glorified.

On Christmas night, we went caroling with a group of the young people. We decided to visit several non-Christian people who celebrated Christmas on the 25th. We had the opportunity to sing about the birth of Jesus. We visited teachers, doctors, business men and simple people. We also gave them a Christian calendar and tracts. May God work in the hearts of these people so they will seek Him not only for Christmas but in every moment of their lives. I am glad to be part of God's ministry and to be used by Him. Praise Him for everything!
