On the 12th of February we went to the school in Badicu. We planted a church here ten years ago. I preached to more than 70 teenagers.

I have mentioned that we started groups in homes. We began with six groups and a month later we had three more. Therefore, it's like we have nine pastors. Each of the group leaders is efficient in leading 7-10 in his group. Elena is a 50 year old lady that has attended the ladies meetings. Because of the weather, she fell and had to be hospitalized. The leader of the ladies' group and two other ladies went to the hospital to visit her. They also continued to visit her home. No one could have helped her better than these women.

Maria, a woman that attends the group of 25-35 year old women, has a broken leg. The leader of this group with two other women visited her and realized they could help her in many ways. Maria and her two children were living in poor conditions and needed to rent another place for awhile.

We meet together according to the age and sex of the people. We are amazed to see the efficiency of meeting in homes. This way the needs are communicated easier, several people can help, we have several things and activities, we have more leaders and we can help each other to develop leadership abilities.

It's been two months since we started a ministry for deaf and dumb people. There is a school for people with disabilities in our town. Viorel, a young man that I have mentioned before, became a Christian while at camp. He is now a member of our church and goes to the orphanage every Saturday. He leads a Bible study there for 50 teenagers. I meet with Viorel every Tuesday to spend a few hours. I want to help him learn to preach the Word. I can only communicate with him through writing as he too is deaf and dumb. On Sundays, after the prayer and worship time, Viorel takes his 10-25 friends that he brings to church and goes to a different room where they can have their own service. I told Viorel that he could bring even more people to church on Friday when they play table tennis.

This is Viorel's testimony. He used simple words to share it with you.

My name is Viorel and I was born on January 15, 1990. I am deaf-and-dumb and have never met my parents. I grew up in several orphanages. Two ladies told me about Jesus while I was in school. I first came to Emanuel Church in Cahul with Olea D. who worked at the orphanage.

In 2008, I went to a summer camp with the youth from the church. While there, I put my faith in Jesus Christ. I have been studying the Word and growing in my faith ever since. After graduating from the school in Chisinau (10 grades) I went to Cahul to attend carving classes. Two years after that I came back to Cahul and a couple from the church, Mihai and Sfeta, offered me shelter. I work with deaf-and-dumb children from the orphanage where I go every Saturday. A group of 10-15 people come to church every Sunday. After the worship time, we go to a different room where we have a Bible study and I teach them the Word of God.

I go to Chisinau every month because I want to prepare myself to become a good leader who is able to teach the Bible to my friends. I bring a group of friends to church every Friday and teach them table tennis.

I have many deaf-and-dumb friends and my desire is to help them and reach as many of them for Christ as I can. Because God found me at a camp, I want to organize a camp for my friends too that will hosts around 65-70.

I want to ask you to pray that the Lord will help me buy the tools I need to carve so I can earn my living and serve the Lord. I want to be able to carve so I can earn money for the ministry too.
