I visited five families for evangelistic purposes this month. We read from the Bible and we talked about what God said in His Word and prayed. I had the opportunity to talk to a young girl who was from a Christian family. Something really awful happened in her life and it had serious consequences. While she kept talking I continued to pray that God would give me wisdom to say the right words in telling her that she was living in sin and against God's will. Then the right moment came and I told her what God was saying about her situation. She was very surprised to hear that. I told her she should confess her sin, turn to the Lord and stop living in sin. She had many questions and I suggested she should talk to a pastor. I was a little afraid to confront her with the truth but God gave me the courage. I continued to visit my relatives. They think they're Christians but their works show something totally different. They are usually reticent to the truth. They want to live the way they like. We continued to have our ladies' meetings twice a month at the church with the married women and twice with the young ladies at my place. I thank God for each meeting because I can see God working in a special way with every woman. I thank God for Mariana who teaches us from the Bible. When we study different female characters from the Bible it is like going back in time. We just finished the life story of Rebecca and started to study about Jochebed, a story about an extraordinary woman who had a special relationship with the Lord. When the girls come to my place, we read from the Bible too, but we also do something fun. We try new recipes or other creative things. There are usually 7-9 women who come to the ladies meeting. One time I made an announcement in the church about it and to my surprise we had 13 of them who came. I had my birthday this month and the girls made a surprise for me. They prepared a meal, planned games, and gave me gifts. The kids' programs were good this month. They learned to make bookmarks on which there were Bible verses written. They have to know these verses by heart. If they learn them, they usually get a treat or a gift. They are doing very well as they learn verses and pray. One day a little boy from a poor family prayed and thanked God for giving him special people in his life (the teachers) who made him happy. Some of the kids pray as well as the grown-ups. They are very special! We had a conference for pastors on February 17-19. They had the opportunity to study the Bible. The women helped in the kitchen. It was a good time. We thank God because He knows everything and has everything under control!
