As I shared last month, we started a teen ministry with teens form our church. My wife, Olga, used to work with them when they were kids. Most of them are from non-Christian families. Other new teenagers joined the group. We are happy to be able to serve them. More than leading the programs, we pray that God will show us how to meet their specific needs. We also started having informal meetings and spending time with them. That gives us the opportunity to hear their life stories. Two teen girls who lived in a violent family environment shared their stories. They would like to have a different place to live. The lack of family love makes some of them ong for attention and affection. We thank God for the other two families that work with us as we can provide a good and healthy family example. We spend time with them and give them our total attention. As a family, we decided to spend more time with them. We give one of them guitar lessons and try to meet her need of a balanced family. The youth ministry has started to take shape. Our purpose is to help the Christian students who come to study here. We want to keep them from going astray and provide for them spiritual growth. We usually encourage several students to get involved in the music ministry as many of them can play different instruments. Our plan for the following months is to study the Bible and to motivate them to enjoy it. We called this month The Month of the Word. We are now toward the end, studying about how we can share the Word. We often speak about sharing the gospel, the courage to witness and how to preach the salvation plan. We felt encouraged to hear about Lena, a student who shared the Word with a colleague. She wants to bring her to church and possibly disciple her. This is what we want to do with each of the students. Another event of this month was a night of remembrance with the the non-Christian youth that were with us in camp. We had a special time. Our purpose is to keep in touch with them and invite them to church occasionally. Anatol and I try to help the young people by offering them counsel when they want to get into a relationship. Around 40 young people are a part of that teaching. I work with seven of them. Andrei and Maria are two people we are working with. Besides the Bible study, we also help them with counseling. Although they don't agree with everything we tell them, we remain patient and faithful to help them have a biblical model for a relationship that potentially could lead to marriage. There are still many things to change but we thank the Lord for what He's done so far. We would like to challenge you to pray for some young people. Pavel, Cornel and a few others. I pray that God will show them whether they have real faith or not. I personally need guidance to know how to help people who lose their interest. Many people are attending the English classes. They are either teenagers or young people. We do our best to motivate them to help their friends. Chris and I often talk and pray for each of them according to their needs.
