God gave me the opportunity to visit several people this month. We and a few ladies from the States visited some families to edify relationships and challenge them with the gospel. We also went to the high school dorm and spoke with five students and two adults. When we first arrived at the dorm, they told us that we were not allowed in as we needed authorization from the principal. We went to his office and allowed us in. We handed out some questionnaires to the students who had to answer a few questions. When we read their answers, we realized that neither the students, nor the staff working in the dorm were very familiar with the bible. They didn't go to church very often either. I even heard from them that if you were a believer you did not have to go to church on a regular basis. They meant that if someone went to church regularly they would be showing off. Before leaving, we got the e-mail address of one of the girls. I promised I would send her some bible verses which I did. I hope that the Word will open the eyes of that girl and show her the importance of studying the Bible and attending a good church.

This month we celebrated Harvest Day too. We invited people to church and handed out many invitations on this occasion. The youth and I wanted to make something special for this day. We came up with the idea of a huge pumpkin to cover the entrance door. I was glad to work with all of them as each of them contributed in his own way. I enjoyed the fellowship and appreciated their desire to do something for the Lord. May He continue to give them the desire to do special things for Him!

We continued to have our youth meetings on Friday nights. God blessed us during our prayer time for each other's needs. It is amazing to see how He answered our prayers. For instance, there is this young man that comes to church who had been trying to sell his car for several months. When he came to church, he shared with us the need and we prayed for him. The next day he called to tell me that he sold his car.

Also, I told them that my wife and I had to move out and needed to find a place as the owners of the apartment were going to sell it. It is really hard to find a place to rent where we live. We had this experience last year when we looked for an apartment for several months. On Friday we prayed faithfully and found a place to rent before Sunday. We are going to move there soon. God answers the prayers of His children in a wonderful manner.

I started to teach English lessons again this month. I prayed that God would turn this opportunity into an evangelistic ministry. People outside the church expressed their desire to attend the classes. We'll start in November.
