At the beginning of September we had several ladies from the States who came to our church to teach at a conference for women. We made the preparations for the event. The actual conference started on September 7 through September 10. We all felt happy and blessed to be there. We had around 35 women.  I couldn't actually stay there and listen because I was in charge of the meals and the snack breaks. But in spite of that, I had the opportunity to talk to these ladies and received three wonderful books.

They talked about prayer, how one could be a leader and human emotions. One  lady told us that she had a lot of work to do home but she eventually managed to come. God spoke to her heart and she felt strengthened in her spirit. She thanked our speaker for the message. It's been a privilege and  blessing to have them even though I was in the kitchen most of the time.

After the conference, the ladies from the States spent another week here. We visited the needy people together. We made up three teams and made visits to share the gospel. I went with a team that visited some old people. When we got there, they told us they had run out of oil. But we blessed them with the care packs that we took with us. People seemed to be receptive to the message of the gospel. They also visited Speia where we have a church. Then they went to an orphanage in Tocuz, Causeni. They had a wonderful program there. Each woman from this group was special as they all showed God's love and compassion. During all their stay they proved to be humble. Before leaving, we had a meal together and thanked them for everything they had done

At the end of our week, a lady from our church, Liuba (she is married to an Indonesian, they're going to Indonesia and stay there for two years) invited all the girls to the sauna. We had a wonderful time. We also had non-Christian girls come and it was good to talk to them about God and life in general. One of them was Muslim and the mother of another was married to a Muslim in Turkey. We talked about Muslim customs and traditions. They didn't want to receive but I am praying for them.

One day I met my neighbor and she asked me where I had been in August. I told her I had been in Turkey and she said she had worked there for many years. We started to talk about Islam. She said they had the same God as we did. When I told her that it was not true, she got pretty angry. I agreed they were nice and hospitable people, but some of them didn't know anything about their own religion and the Koran. They were just like the Orthodox here. I told her the story of Abraham and his two sons, Isaac, the forefather of the Jews, and Ishmael, the forefather of the Muslim people. But she said she couldn't understand the Bible.  Pray for my neighbor, Ana.

I pray that God will send people I can tell them about Him my way. Also, I pray to have peace and be bold to say the right word. I can do everything through Him!
