We had Vacation Bible School the first week of the month and got help from an American group of people. There were around 50 kids. The program has been very good with a balance of music, sports, crafts and Bible lessons. After the kids left we had people come to our church to receive free glasses. I wrote each person's name down so we could invite them to church. We had 300 people in two days. I thought how good it would be if we could have them all in our church. People were happy in knowing that there was a church where people talked about God.
Once a month when we have communion, we also have a potluck meal when we bring food to share with others. It feels good to spend more time together so we can pray for one another. It's just like family. We do everything together from laying the table to washing the dishes. We have prayed for unity in our church and are happy to have it.
At the end of the month we had another VBS. This time we had help from the church members. Around 60 kids came. We had sketches for them.
The ladies from our church had the opportunity to have a women's meeting. Lidia S., a lady from Romania, came and talked about how we could go through hard times and have victory. Many of the women asked her if she had had any problems. And then she shared a little about her family. Her daughter couldn't have children for 15 years and when she eventually had two, both of them had Down syndrome. She was crying when she shared. She told her daughter that she could be an encouragement for other people in the same situation. Then we prayed together for God to strengthen the ladies who were suffering. We continue to get together as women. It is always something we look forward to. We have four meetings a month where we meet twice to study and pray and the other two times to learn and share recipes.
We have meetings with all the ministers every Tuesday. We read the word together, meditate on it, and talk about our relationship with God. It's always a blessed time. As a team, we pray and fast together.
We and a few women from our church wake up at 5 a.m. every morning and meet at 6 a.m. We are blessed to see the sunrise but also to read His word. We read psalms and God teaches us to love His Word day by day. When we read Psalm 2, we prayed that God would enlarge our territory because he promised to give us many people. A few days later, I had the opportunity to talk to some people, even neighbors I hadn't known before. I felt no fear to talk to them as I had peace. I prayed and thanked God for what He was doing and decided to leave the results to Him. It is a blessing to be able to share love, peace and blessings with the ones that need them.
