The Lord blessed us and used us in His ministry. The Day center project is over and that made it possible for us to work elsewhere.
We had a team from US at the beginning of the month. They were here for a week and helped us. Some of them worked with the medical team offering the people glasses. The others visited people who had never been visited before. We also had a day camp for the kids in which we went to three different places, Anenii Noi, Speia, a mission of our church, and Hirbovatul Nou which is a potential mission.
I worked with the kids and made visits. We got to see several families that had different issues. Some of the people we saw were bedridden, or in a wheel chair, while others were addicted to alcohol. There were also older people who had no one to help them. We pray that God will bless and touch them with His Gospel.
We had VBS at our church during the third week of this month. We had around 60 kids who came. I was in charge of the Bible lesson and songs. I thank God He helped me with everything. I would like to ask you to pray for a family from Anenii Noi. We've recently started a Bible study with them based on John Piper's brochure, For Your Joy. We got to meet this family through the kids that came to our Day Center. They live with their grandparents as their parents are in jail or have just abandoned them. When we got to their place, their grandparents welcomed us. Since that day, we have visited them every week and had a Bible study. This month, Mr. Dumitru, the grandfather, had to go to Moscow and work so that they could support their family. They have 5 grandchildren and two of their children (grown-ups) living with them. His job in Moscow is very important as it provides money for school and winter expenses. Mr Dumitru called from Moscow and talked to our pastor. He was well and sent his greetings to us all. We were very happy to hear that because he is interested in the Gospel. He had the opportunity to attend a few Sunday morning church services. Pray that God will continue to work in this family and make each of them His children.
We continued to work on the church building and more specifically on the sports ground behind the church. This way we'll be able to organize different sport activities with the kids. We also hope to be useful for to the youth and unbelievers too.
