The camp was a good time for the Lord to speak personally through the Bible study and the discussions we had.
It took us a while to make the preparations for the camp but it was a good time for the young people to realize that they needed a relationship with God. We had a 5 lesson Bible study every day and a group lesson. Both local leaders and individuals from an American team spoke. All the leaders had the opportunity to talk personally to each sportsman, challenging them to a personal relationship with Christ.
The teams presented the Word of God in a clear manner. They explained why the people needed a close relationship with Jesus. The messages were all clear. We'll wait to see the fruit.
During our time in the camp, I personally talked to 12 people. I did my best to show them the importance of having God and told them we should be passionate about fulfilling God's Word in our lives. My wife did the same with 6 girls. She met a girl, Tatiana, who had many problems. She had had a terrible life as her parents had abandoned her. She was brought up by her grandparents. Tatiana started to see things differently while at camp. She understood many things about the relationship between man and God and was challenged to read the Bible which she had never done before. My wife decided to start a Bible study with her.
I want to have 2 meetings with the people working in the camp, especially with the ones who were responsive to the Word. We will continue our Bible studies and training starting in September. I keep inviting the young people that live in the area to come to church. Some of them don't really enjoy doing it, but I think it's just a matter of time once they have a complete understanding.
