God blessed the ministry in Anenii Noi in January. We started 2010 with three days of planning, vision, and prayer. We prayed for the ministries that He has entrusted to us, the kids and the youth ministries, the Bible study and preaching in church and our personal spiritual maturity. Those days were wonderful because we managed to plan the direction of these ministries.

Over the first evenings of January we went caroling with the young people from our church. We caroled throughout two neighboring villages. The Lord's birth is celebrated in Moldova in January. The families that we visited welcomed and invited us to return next year as well. We gave out Christian calendars and booklets. May God work through this wonderful ministry.

One Saturday we organized an evangelistic championship. Young people from the surrounding villages participated in this contest. Each of them won a prize and a Bible. They also heard the testimony of a Christian champion, who is a good friend of ours. At the end of the event each participant received a Christian calendar and evangelistic tracts.

After two weeks vacation the kids started to school again. So we started our after school project. In January the weather was mostly cold so many children couldn't come. By the end of the month everything got back to normal and we had many children in the project. We continue to pray for these kids and for the volunteers to have patience with the children.

This past month I had to prepare the Bible study at church on Wednesday evening. We continued to study God's attributes and different passages on His glory.

We decided to have a different approach for the Friday evening youth meetings. A month has four Fridays and we will have a different activity each time, namely prayer time, Bible study, training for evangelization, and a Christian movie or testimony. We want to urge the young people to desire God, His Word, fellowship, Gospel proclamation, prayer, etc. Please pray that God will give me wisdom for this ministry.

The second part of the month we had a three days conference on spiritual revival. Many pastors from the surrounding villages came. I had the opportunity to translate for the speaker. I am grateful for his message.

I ended the month with six visits. We visited some families and gave them food packages. We shared God's love with them and offered them a Bible. I was shocked when I saw the conditions where some families lived. Their children attend our after school project and we are happy to help them.
