In December we continued the church projects. In the beginning of the month we made plans for Christmas. We planned special meetings for the end of the year in each project. One evening we had a special meeting with all the ladies from the church. We had a word from the Lord, a sweet meal, and Christmas cards. We prayed and thanked the Lord for all the blessings and failures from this past year.

On December 10 a team from OM mission visited us. They had a great and interesting program for the children from our project. The subject was "Travelling through the Bible". Several events from the Bible were presented as sketches. The children could participate in these sketches. They went with Jesus to the wedding where he turned the water into wine. They ate loaves and fishes when Jesus multiplied them. They sang and received gifts. Everything was wonderful. After that, they started to ask us each day about Christmas. When will it be? They prepared songs and poems and were so excited. At the end of December we prepared sweets for the children and had a special meal. We prayed and thanked the Lord for the project.

I was involved in another ministry when I helped the pastor's wife to produce Christmas cards.

Another day I went to the Russian School. We offered gifts from Samaritan's Purse that we received with the help of the Baptist Union from Moldova. The children were excited. We could talk with them and ask them about Christmas. Only a few knew about this holiday.  Most of the children celebrate new year's eve only.

I attended the church's rehearsals for Christmas almost every evening. Along with the young people we learned new songs, prepared a program, and a drama play. The church gave out Christmas cards and invitations.

On December 25 the hall was filled with guests and people from the church. With the youth we went caroling in the evening. We shared the good news with nonbelievers. The streets were under water, but we went anyway. A funny thing happened. After we finished caroling, as we and a family were leaving, another man came and asked us about our songs. We told him who we were and what we were doing.  He invited us to his home and we followed him for a while. We were all wet and thought maybe he was making fun of us. But in the end we arrived at his home. He invited us in and there was a woman and a baby. We sang and that man filmed us so he could remember the moment. He invited us to carol to him next year. Many other families invited us to come next year too.

On the 27th we had a religious service and love feast. On December 31 we celebrated new year's eve with the young people.
